...To me it is hard to translate "of getting old in style" 'cause it sounds to me something like *getting old but "with style"* or *showing themselves old getting old in the personal style* ...Man, it is hard for me to understand and, maybe more, even trying to explain that! 
...Anyway, the "hyperrealism" was a kind of "style" in art which was like... ...paints or drawings were so similar to photography (in a way) and, if possible, even more realistic than potography.... ...I'm sure you know that, I was trying to explain what I said with my comment to your picture... ..."more realistic than the reality"...
