Description
The main 5 characters in a different style. Β Not necessarily more scientifically accurate, but it was my attempt at doing so haha.I watched the 2nd movie last night while drawing this because the first still makes me cry a little bit.Β

What do guys think if Universal were to remake The Land Before Time (1988) in CGI (like Jurassic Park/World) similar to the disney movie Dinosaur?
If they did the models would be like Jurassic Park/World, additional scenes would include those of the stone of cold fire and the great longneck migration flashback scenes with pterano, bron and shorty, new scenes would include pachyrhinosaurus fighting carnotaurus and anΒ Epilogue scene with two sharpteeth parents having an egg (chomper) referencing the events that lead to the great valley adventure.

Lol correct, I probably should have given him some heavy dark eyelids but I didn't really put much character into any of them.Β Maybe I'll do another version one day that has some more personality while still not being a cartoon style.Β Β

The first movie is indeed heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. I watched this film as a small boy together with my mother and we both cried

In fact, as I keep looking at it I think their eyes do the trick. They are more cartoony then the rest and settle the balance between realism and original.

Eh, I dunno. Making the LBT dinosaurs more realistic takes away a lot of their charm, IMO. Especially Sharptooth.

It takes a lot of the personality away from cartoons to make them more realistic, that's why they tend to anthropomorphize them to begin with.

At least the sequels were fairly entertaining. Β It was nice to see them go off on different adventures but they didn't come close to having the same emotional depth as the first film. Β

Live action is the future and has been proven numerous times with gi joe, transformers, snd currently the jungle book. Steven Spielberg dont let us down.
