Are you aware of DeviantArt's nudity policy at all? It's quite strict and if I would've drawn cocks here, this image would've been removed and I would've gained at least quite a fair warning or in worst case possible: a ban.

That and you haven't ever thought that some artists chooses that making characters asexual from their groin section keeps at least some form of modesty in the drawing?



You were given brains - use them before heading towards something that might be self-explanatory otherwise.

I'm not saying I want him to be displaying his privates, I'm simply wondering why you wouldn't give him a loin cloth or some other way of covering himself instead of make him look rather odd.

Consider it as a (bad) muscle anatomy practice. This also means the parts of the muscles that normally are hidden under his loincloth (such as the external obliques, adductors and iliopsoas (or hip flexor)) are shown here just to make sure I know where each muscle part is located and placed into at.

And to my acknowledge, this "asexual approach" is fairly normal thing to do when studying a characters anatomy. In fact, some characters are left forever as asexual if you haven't noticed (such as Seth from Street Fighter 4, Venom from Spider-Man, etc...)

...which, ultimately makes me wonder why you are wondering over one character that is having this method used by someone, when in world of art of all forms, it's almost normal thing.
