) Building+Sky: Chicago, ILComment : I had a few other versions of this, ones with my face and more of the body actually included..one also where the building was mirrored with me in it..but I decided on this one so it remains more anonymous. Rarely do things that I submit here ever have any actual depth to them (the majority I consider merely esthetically pleasing), but I put some thought into planning this one and wanted it to relate to my current situation in life..

interesting i really like the concept of this piece, but i have to complain about the lighting of you and your clothing.. it should be less orange i think.

I have to agree. You blended the two pictures together most excellently, but your body doesn't really have that outdoor lighting feel.
It doesn't really matter though because this is an absolutely wonderful picture.

aye' ..I actually remember trying that (playing with the colors on that layer) and it just didn't seem to "pop" enough..and I reallyed wanted that feeling..but I def. know what your talking about heh

I'm behind on commenting on the deviations in my message center so I've been selective with my comments, but once I saw this piece pop up, I knew I could let it pass by without a comment. I think the idea is quite clever, and it shows that you've put some thought into it. First of all, the composition and perspective is very nice. It really drew me in to look at the piece more closely. The decision to leave out your face and maintain more mystery was a good one. It puts much more focus on the arm, which is the area where the attention should lie. I also like how you've included details such as the shadow against the building. Great job
