A painting-with-light image (I lit the crane thing with a flashlight) from a night photography field-trip I lead in downtown Halifax last night.Canon 5D MK II, two image exposure blend

wow you are always coming up with something new to me..this is really interesting and very plesing on the eye too..the white painted light behind is what makes the whole image pop right out!

Thank you, glad you enjoyed viewing the image...the white in the sky is simply the clouds (fog) moving over the city lights...

how long were the exposures? i know about paint with light, never tried it on this scale. is the glow the city lights, or a lamp post?

Thanks for your feedback - the exposures were 30 second each...the sky was perfect in my test image, but when I went to paint the basket thing, the sky was much less interesting, so I blended the two.
