Whew!!! This is my last minute entry to *silverglass19 's Bacabello contest. I hope she enjoys my characters!! I am almost afraid to submit them, I've grown so attached!!

Stallion
Name: Valkiran Tonauac {Surname means “the one who possesses light”}
Age: 50
Identification: Silver Cremello Cobalt Bacabello/American Saddlebred.
Home: Born in the Damir plains, an expansive land with rolling hills and tall grasses, dotted with shallow valleys (like the Great Plains of Central North America).
Base: Valkiran is a silvery, cremello stallion with a long mane and full tail. He is a Bacabello/American Saddlebred cross and is thus long-legged and muscular with a glass smooth, very fast gait.
Markings: He has pale blue markings that are the same on both sides and somewhat hard to see on his light basecoat.
Tattoos: Unsigned
Adornments: (Not shown) As he is only half Bacabello, he does not lust for exotic jewels as purebred do. However, his favorite jewel is the Fire Opal and he wears a few beads of them in his mane. He also has a small, silver hoop in each ear.
Abilities: Brightly glowing markings and ability to sense the presence of other creatures from various distances (it depends on the size and footfall of the animal)
Backstory {here we go}: Valkiran's mother, Izel, was a high class Bacabella from a prestigious family that fell in love with a beautiful, wild stallion named Kiran. She spent one summer frolicking on the plains with the mysterious stallion, much to the disgrace of her family. One night, as the chill of Fall set in, he disappeared; leaving her with a foal in her belly and a broken heart (it is still unknown if he left willingly or simply vanished). Valkiran was born a pure silver-white with no apparent markings. His mother's family despised him at birth, thinking of him as an impure creature, no better than a common horse. Izel, however, saw his intense beauty and loved him instantly, naming him Valkiran. It was on his first night that his markings appeared, glowing like a beacon on the open plain. As he grew older his markings darkened to a pale blue, still barely visible during the day. Valkiran grew into a gorgeous stallion with almost perfect conformation and a gleaming coat made even more brilliant by night. Despite his beauty, the members of his family herd looked down on him for his mixed blood and lack of tattooing, a dominant trait in their family. Thanks to his mother's unswerving love he became confident and happy, though isolated within the herd. When Izel died, he left the herd to wander the plains by night, searching for something he could not name. He became known as the "Wandering Star" streaking brightly across the terrain and vanishing into the dawn.
One night, Akhalaia was sleeping under a tree when a light in the forest awoke her. Her curiosity piqued, she followed the glow to a pool in a small clearing. Standing beside the pool was a gorgeous glowing stallion, that stood as still as the trees. Valkiran looked up in surprise at the faint glow of her blue markings, for he had not sensed her presence. Akhalaia approached him shyly , welcoming him to her home. As they began to talk, Akhalaia was attracted to his quiet yet vibrant spirit that drew her out almost instantly. Valkiran was struck by Akhalaia’s playful calm and mystified by her ability sneak up on him. Each night from then on, they would meet again at the pool, drawn to each other by an unmistakable chemistry. By the start of fall, Valkiran and Akhalaia knew that they had found in each other the family they had been searching for.
Personality: He is confident with a quiet, vibrant spirit and is somewhat of a loner due to his upbringing as an outcast. He has a mischievous side and loves to prance and tease. He is alos very protective of his loved ones.

Foal
Name: Itotia Nerina {means "dancing water"}
Gender: Filly
Age: 2 months
Identification: Chocolate Flax Cobalt Bacabella (1/4 American Saddlebred)
Base: Itotia is a rich Chocolate Flax with a single cream sock on her right foot. She has a medium length mane and long tail. She will grow to be a graceful and swift mare with a prancing gait and beautiful, delicate legs.
Markings: Her markings are deep cobalt with (I believe) "classic" markings that are the same on both sides.
Tattoos: Signed. Design is the same on both sides (shown in the image for reference though her tattooing will actually appear later).
Adornments: (Also not shown) Her favorite gems are Emeralds. She wears a single brace on her left foot and a ring around the base of her tail.
Abilities: Itotia has the ability to feel the pain of those around her. Immortality?
Personality: She is vibrant and spirited, with the quiet wisdom of her mother and the mischievous manner of her father. Her unique ability makes her sensitive and compassionate yet a somewhat tortured soul.
