read the above.

and just in case you cant read my messy handwriting:

"This comic was drawn over the course of 1 week and is an expression of my frustration and anger. Since this was drawn in only 1 week, dont complain to me about how there isnt any plot or character development. I know how to write stories, i just wanted to experiment for this thats all. Unfortunatly, my experiment with this "drafty" red pen style won't be accepted by any publishers standards anytime soon. But it was fun drawing it."

I kinda liked the "drafty" red pen and how you could see where you had first drawn before going over it with black ink. Add's character.

I haven't checked your page for a while, so when I decided to do so today, I was very happy to see many new deviations in your gallery. The pictures depict the emotion really visually. (: Your getting this from a person whom expresses themselves with imagery.

The red - a very unique style. I haven't seen this technique used anywhere else, but it helps the reader feel more... angry? frustrated? I really don't know how to describe it.

But I'm glad to find someone who knows how to vent through comics. (:

just read through the pages..
i had a little bit of trouble figuring out some of the writings, but anyway.

your stuff always leave a STRONG IMPRESSION in my mind.
(that's why i admire you damn!)
i can't seem to find any words to describe what i was thinking..
but when i was reading it, a lot of things flashed in my mind.
a lot of.. emotional, frustrating, and sad experiences in the past.
like the last page in your summer butterfly book..
when i got to the page when there was a huge heart in the middle..
i felt a sudden surge of emotions and almost cried out.
i don't know why, but that's how i felt.

in terms of art, the bi-color sketchiness catches my eyes.
and the graduately increasing use of red - really brings out emotions.
i think it's nice to just leave the red sketches in, it looks cool.
but if you really do want them removed, then eh..
i know a method that you can try with photoshop.

ps. the dog was a joke at the end **lol

oh wow, thanks Makoto! im glad you were able to see all those things in the comic, i didnt really expect much people to get it past just plain violent but here we are! aww, yeah there wer alot of stuff in that comic, maybe next one i post will be ALOT more pleasant.
oh and if you ever have problem reading the writings (yes my handwriting is messy) i'll probably post up what it says under the pages in a few weeks when i get more time.

oh, oh oh! whats the method to remove the red in PS?
i've been trying to figure it out! i think i tried adjusting the colour levels or something, but it didnt really work, although if i ever wanted to change the red to blue its always there.

hhehe....the dog...:dygel; <---- hahaha this is the closesest thing to a dog i could find!

haha~ you double posted too **lol

apparently the guy in the comic isn't just violent in nature.
he's got reasons, maybe not good enough to justify his actions..
but he's still got REASONS.
well, that's how i saw it.
especially at then end, the change in his facial expression.

if you post a happy comic sometime soon then i'd love you even more XD
the butterfly one was pretty sad, and then there was this one..
heh, post something funny

the method i'm thinking is to adjust the hue/saturation of the picture.
if you go Ctrl+U you get a window that says Hue/Saturation.
in the dropdown box near the top, choose Reds instead of Master.
then if you drag the last bar (Brightness) to the right..
you'll see the red "fade" as white light takes over.
well, you can't exactly remove it without leaving a trace..
but you can give it a try, and if you really want it removed, use the clone stamp ^^"

(Comment for entire comic as I'm far too lazy to comment on each page individually.)
(And lets face it, it'd get annoying to read as well.)
Wow. This was a really good read. I'd pay money for it.

I really think the red pen and sketchy lines add to the overall mood of anger and fustration. And I really think you do have good plot and character development: it's kind of like those two page stories we had to read in high school, you only see a short piece of someone's life.

The only scarry thing is that I sometimes feel like that guy. . .

aww thanks! i never read those short stories in high school but i think i know what your talking about, like exploits and slices of life from random people right?

and you feel like that guy sometimes?!
WHOA that IS scary.....we gotta get you some coffee fast!

pttttttt who cares if they won't accept the red pen thing? It's..... you can call it your style from now on lol Just think, like years later they'll adopt this idea and the professor will be like: yes, today we'll learn how to use the Raychan technique and all the students will be like: oooooooooooooohh...

awwww Jimmy your too flattering! it would be kinda funny if that ever happened and ill be like:
"yes, millions of artists were doing this red-pen thingy before but they named it after ME! ahahah!"

oh yeah i was gonna comment on your other comment earlier but i never got the chance to: your in a new school? really? which one was it again? that kinda sucks...changing schools and everything, although there are SOME good parts to it and bad parts, kinda like a mixed bag. my suggestion if you still dont have a locker yet is to quickly make friends with someone and split lockers, or better yet grab a screwdriver or lockcutter and "steal" one of the empty lockers!

good luck in your new school Jimmy, and im liking your pen stuff too, i cant believe you do yours with a ball point...ohh boy....

Pretty interesting what comes out of you when you're feeling something strongly.. I probably would have made something pretty intense if I had started drawing on Tuesday.. hm. I really like the red lines through out the comic, pretty cool. Dunno, not gonna give you a crazy critic, just letting you know.. how interesting it came out.. and how I understand that notion of control in life.. it's really sad. Anyways. Nice work. @_@

awww thanks! and go ahead and give me a critic if you want, its the only way ill learn, glad you liked the comic, and im glad you didnt find the red lines too distracting, looking at it twice it kinda seems overdone.

you could've made something intense if you drew on tues? its never too late...
