Thanks! I admittedly didn't think that its focus would work out very well, being at f4.0 and all.

Well, it looks great.
Again, nice job. And if I haven't favorited yet, I'll do it now.

I love those sorts of spiders (orb weavers) -- ever watch one construct its web? Crazy.

I do believe I've seen one make it's web, but only once. It was awesome, though. I like spiders, so long as they don't crawl on me

Do you find that you've a curiosity about spiders despite your fear of them? I'm somewhat arachnophobic (it's contextual, I suppose) but love watching spiders from a relative distance.
Anyway -- thanks!

Ahaha, no actually. Just the way they move gives me the creeps. I do very much like the b/w and the focus of your photo though. Probably also because it can't move.

Thanks.

Ahh! This is great, often the way I feel about spiders. Even though I'm gradually overcoming the fear.

Same, here. I've found that photographing whatever I fear, oddly, is helpful in that regard.
Thanks for the comment.

We love spiders, and arachnophobes can be very amusing. This is near perfection.

eurai In reply to Xenobody [2006-08-28 18:48:52 +0000 UTC]
Hahahaha. As one of those arachnophobes (in remission), I definitely agree that our panicked flailing and darting around (I think that, if anything, would upset/provoke a spider into attacking) is funny.
Thanks.

Yeah! Perhaps spiders would more lethal if they simply had more encouragement like that.
Thanks.

I don't know if I'd necessarily classify IMMINENT ARACHNID ASSAULT as "nice" (well, maybe it is to the spider), but thanks.

Well... haha. No but what I meant was 'its nice' as in 'i like it' but I was feeling slow and i couldn't think of a better word... still can't i'm practically half asleep!

Delicate? Hm -- haven't yet seen anyone describe the spider in such terms. What with the web and all shifting in the slightest breeze...yeah, you're right. Thanks for the fresh approach.

Very cool shot! I love the cropped in look and the use od depth of field, showing the spider clearly and the fear-filled expression blurred in the background.
