Description For many non-dryads, there is the idea that the whole species is female, since they often refer to themselves and others of their kind in the feminine. While it is true that many use words like she, her, sister and mother, it is because a majority of dryads identify themselves as female. Dryads are a monoecious species, which translates to "hermaphrodite" for meat-based species, as they possess both male and female reproductive organs. Their culture tends to have the majority of dryads identify as female, but individuals may choose to be seen as male, or as gender neutral. With them commonly identifying as female, most dryads are lesbians. Dryads are also open to interspecies relationships and, in these cases, are open to dating any gender. This means that pansexuality is also common in this species. Though these two identities are frequent for dryads, they are not the only ones. Dryads are very open about gender and sex, and they are accepting of any and all who join their families. Much as dryadkind has all sorts of variations and unique groups, so is their belief of love and family.

June month isn't only about kaiju, but it is also pride month! I have always wanted to do something to celebrate it, but could never think of anything fitting. Finally I came up with the idea of doing dryads based on plants that kind of have the colors of the flags! I figured it would be fitting, since my dryads are already established in having an open view on gender and sex. Thanks to my friend james-silvercat for both helping me figure out all the flags and find fitting plants for each! I do apologize if some of the dryads don't fit perfectly with their corresponding flag, I am not the best with coloring and a lot of color palettes were challenging! For those who are curious, here is the list of flags and what plants I choose to use for them (left to right):

Pride - Rainbow Eucalyptus
Trans - Echeveria succulents
Queer - Blue Turkerytail
Asexual - White batflower
Lesbian - Autumn purple ash
Bisexual - Purple Brittlegill
Intersex - Shock O Lat sunflower
Agender - Syngonium
Aromantic - Caladium black spider
Pansexual - Banana tree (yellow, blue java and pink)
Non-binary - Passion Flower
Genderfluid - Fomitopsis
Polyamory - Raspeberries (Red, Black and Blue)
Genderqueer - Graptoveria succulents

I put in a lot of work to make this and I am super proud of it. I hope others enjoy it as well, and I ask we keep things positive here. This is a celebration, not a debate.

(Also apologies on the size, I may have to mess with it a bit in edits, as I haven't posted something this big before)
