"Are you kidding me? This joker is your nemesis?" The silver hedgehog laughed, catching a missile in midair with his psychic powers and flinging it back towards the robot in front of him. The mechanical creature exploded in a shower of sparks.

Sonic took a step back and dashed forward, right through a whole row of mechs. They exploded in a line behind him, and he scoffed. "Is that the best you've got, Eggman? Throw something new at me."

The obese guy with a mustache who was sitting in a strange hovercraft laughed and pressed a button. A massive mechanical arm burst from the ground and snatched up a pink hedgehog that was watching from a distance.

"Amy!" Both Silver and Sonic shouted it at the same time. The arm flung Amy into the air, towards Sonic and Silver. The blue hero dashed forward to catch her, but Silver stopped her in midair and gently brought her down to earth, his arm around her shoulders.

"You okay?" He asked, smiling.

"Yeah." She replied, quietly, blushing. Sonic burned with anger, but he had no idea why. As Silver walked Amy to a nearby park bench to sit down, he muttered a quick goodbye and took off running.

Sonic didn't like Amy, that much was certain. In fact, she constantly annoyed him, what with the following, the constant kissing, and especially Valentine's day, so why was he so angry at Silver for stealing his thunder?

Suddenly, it hit him. It hit him like an underage kid driving a truck on a rainy day in an ice skating rink. It hit him so hard that he had to start running and nearly fell over.

Sonic the Hedgehog was jealous.
