Yes! If you're not acting dumb like me that is, lmao.
Odd question, did you use to play Assassin's Creed multiplayer? Your username is oddly familiar to me.

Exactly! xD You mentioned Assassin's Creed, I am kind of confused? You played the game? When you mentioned about it I was surprised because of that. It's very strange you asked the about if I played it.

Sam IS cool and she IS alive because I'm not that shitty sort of.
I only lost Ashley and Matt, but I swear I would trade Emily's ass for them any day. I was waiting for Emily's not-actually-a-bitch redemption arc, and the fact that there wasn't one is hilarious to me. I'm glad.

I never played this I only watched a playthrough.
I think like 90% of people accidentally got Matt killed. For some reason the game kinda put him in the most danger - go figure. And I presume you lost Ashley at the segment with the "break off from the group and investigate that sound" thing?

Really? I mean I guess you're right, Matt was in the most risky position half the time, what with the asylum and Jess and all that, uh...fun stuff.
And yes to Ashley. What kills me is I KNEW opening the trapdoor was the wrong choice as I was doing it but I still did it because I'm smart like that.

Eh, curiosity is a dangerous thing. Conversely, I think very FEW people avoided that part. Had I played it I doubt I would have just ignored it. I spelled "Few" "Fue" the first time. :l

I don't really like the quicktime-fest-type-games. Guess I'm the weirdo.

pssst i tried to saw ashley instead of josh and it chose josh anyway, i don't think i hit the wrong button 'cause i remember chris kinda being confused about it too, idk Telltale has taught me that, no matter how much it feels like your choices matter, you'll always be at least a bit disappointed in the end.
Meh, quicktime always seems to accompany story-heavy games, so I feel stuck with it. Even though you really REALLY don't need QT events for a good story-based game cough the last of us coughcough

Hmmm. That's questionable. I mean, making 50000 different endings would be a total bitch, but I feel like I'd be more interested in replaying a game if I can fuck about with the story and get totally weird things to happen. Fallout New Vegas was pretty good about that.
I never played The Last of Us. I don't even have an excuse. Just never got around to it.

I have contemplated purchasing Fallout 4, but $60 is just too much dosh. I think I'll wait a year or so. But Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is on sale for $20, and though I didn't want to get it because of its stupid name... I am reconsidering.
I laughed at that. I will say: it is hard to make me laugh, and you've succeeded several times today. Gud jab.
Playing the games is an investment, that's for certain. MGS2 did make me cry, though.

high fives self because someone likes my stupid jokes
The story fascinates me because it's so ridiculous, but still serious about it overall. I read a comic series that basically summarized the plot of most of the games and the cartoonist kept having to put "this really happened" on the panels because so much weird shit is involved in the storyline.

He's an interesting character. I'm not sure if I like him or not. Borderlands 2 is another one of those "very mixed feelings" games.
yeeeah
There is some weird shit in Metal Gear Solid.
-Helicopter Crashes are never, ever fatal
-If I die and somebody takes one of my arms and uses it as their arm, I can possess them
-Being sniped in the face might knock you over
-Explosions are always fatal
-SNAKE? SNAKE? SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE! is something I have probably heard close to 200 times. Psycho Mantis mocked me about how much I suck at fighting. Then he killed me several times.
-Game is hard

Prepare ears:
Borderlands 1 felt bizarre. Like "traveling through a Disney ride with no context" bizarre. Like all of the characters were weird, grinning anamatronics. I couldn't care about anything on an emotional level whatsoever because it all felt hollow and otherwise insubstantial. This is a character. Um. Yeah. That's all we got. He's got a name and says weird, completely unrelated things. Sometimes he'll talk about how much he hates Pandora. Ok. The gameplay was a tad better - I liked that the "ranks" just gave me EXP and that by using more and more of a weapon it would become better. I didn't like that reload speeds and the ilk weren't shown, did like that about BL2. On the other hand, while BL2 has a story it is difficult to give a shit. Oh no Angel what a compelling character now she's dead well she was manipulative and... that was her only character trait but oh gee I guess she's dead so we're sad. Jack was mustache-twirlingly evil, though the "I am the good guy" was an interesting disconnect from how most games go. Usually the villain's like "Nope I'm evil lol." Of course, he was still mustache-twirlingly evil, so it was a little hard to belief his spheal. It'd be nicer if it were more of a gray area.
I don't like that the manufacturers in BL2 each had a gimmick. Jakobs doesn't make automatics or elementals. Tediore blows up for some reason, making each weapon a hideous ammo sink. Torgue weapons only blow up. Bandit weapons... don't do anything unique. Liked it better in 1 where manufacturers would have strengths and weaknesses, not just weird things they did. Not so that ENTIRE TYPES OF WEAPONS WERE COMPLETELY WORTHLESS. DAHL SNIPER RIFLES? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? I HAVE TO SCOPE OUT RIGHT AFTER FIRING TO ONLY SHOOT ONCE? I'm sure there are other examples, but that's the one that I remember most distinctly. Still, they made more effort with the story than in 1, even if a lot of it wasn't super compelling. It at least had some substance.
That was 1, I think, unless Psycho Mantis shows up in any other games (Don't think that'd be the case). Mm that polygonal ass

I never finished BL1 'cause the second game had already spoiled me, but I met T.K. Baha so...yeah I can see the animatronic thing. lol. Everything felt bland to me so I just stopped playing.
It's true, he's an ass. Would probably be more compelling if he had more ambiguous morality but...damn it all, I love that man all the same. If you do end up grabbing the Pre-Sequel I'd be interested in what you think of his portrayal in it. i honestly barely remember it beyond some cool moments
I just kept forgetting Tediore weapons exploded. Always a, er, pleasant surprise. It was fun to keep an eye on your ammo that way though, I found. i dunno man i just like when it go boom

Razgriz-3 In reply to ExplosiveCats [2015-11-15 05:25:08 +0000 UTC]
No I liked T.K. Baha he is the only redeeming factor. But what happens to him is a big example of what's wrong with the game's plot. Later on you come back and he's just dead. Killed by bandits. That's it. There's no point to it, it's totally wanton. The only good character in the game, but even if he wasn't, the designers just shrugged and went "Well he's dead now who cares we sure as fuck don't."
Hmm. That's part of the reason I'm hesitating on picking it up. Peoples' opinions of the Pre-Sequel are divided as all hell. And $20 is damned expensive for my taste...
He hehe. It was nice when a pistol that normally does 5 damage when you shoot can instantly kill a man if you shoot once and throw it at his head. Even if that absorbed ammo like a vacuum. I also didn't like that not all gunmakers would make all sorts of weapons. It'd be cool to see a Jakobs SMG, or a Torgue Sniper, or a Bandit Sniper. I played as Zer0. There was a lot of sniping. Don't use Dahl snipers. They're obnoxious as fuck.

I think I've played a bit as every character. Krieg the least, because I couldn't pin down a good build for him that I like. Maya is good for co-op but I'm not sure how I'd play her on my own. And I liked playing Zer0 because I like snippy-sniping. Did in BL1, did in this game. And then Gunzerking's been fun. Might switch to a pistol build, though right now I'm just using shotguns. I want to see what happens if I use dual Infinities. Huehuehue

Sniping is boss. You should gunzerk with sniper rifles. This is the pro-strat - two eyes and two scopes amirite. seriously though infinite shotgun sounds amazing

funny story, that: haven't really played much of either. Played a few screens of RoR at most, I was terrible. Claire I've played a bit more of but I forgot about it, I should get back into it. Lone Survivor's Silent-Hill-ish, globin. Doesn't make a lick of sense, but it's a more concise sort of no-sense. Play both. There are a lot of Steam games that I picked up, played, and absolutely deplored the story of. :L

I like cursing, but I prefer words like "godammit," "hell" and "bastard." "Fuck" is a good word for emphasis, i.e. "Band's fucking awful" in lieu of "I don't like that band" for degree of intensity. Bitch is a word I don't particularly like. Cunt can be good situationally, but it's best around friends. I'm blanking on others but there are more.

I just default to "fuck" like the uncultured swine I am. I used to dislike cunt and now I'm situational about it if I say it at all. There's like three people I'd call cunts jokingly. I love creative swearing too though, find it's better a lot of the time.
Other than it taking place in a desert? And it being visually stunning? The environments are surprisingly varied and I find it's an incredibly unique online experience. It tells a story (albeit a very simple one) with no words and at the same time makes you feel incredibly close to whatever stranger you end up playing with.
Journey feels like the sort of game that's more art than game, but is still enjoyable. Plus it takes maybe 2 hours to play through to the end, so it doesn't overstay its welcome. If you're interested in it and capable, play through it instead of watching a let's play. Immersive as fuck, made me cry.
