Very beautiful! Kind of looks like something extremely small viewed as something smaller; like the inside of an atom. The highlighting is incredible!
Just wondering, why all the negative space? I probably would've cut off a great deal of it, for sake of not drawing the eye downwards with the weight. Just curious, I know everyone has their reasons. ^_^
But it's a great piece, truly deserving of the DD. Great work!

For the most part the negative space is there to create a sense of microscopic scale, as if you were inside a body, even though this light reaction is happening, there is still much more space there. As you said it looks like something extremely small, if you see that then I have accomplished what I wanted with this piece. Thanks alot for the comment.
