APPEARANCE
Appearance & reputation: powerful and impressive. Oher siderians never dare to mess with her, especially not when it’s known that she’s the mate of the notorious Matthias Sætansen.
She marks her boundaries clearly, but is otherwise decent and has no dark deeds on her name.

Shoulder height: around 1,63 m, which is taller than the average male siderian.

Physical description
Body: powerful, tiger like body-build with a slightly convex spine. Strong legs with rather heavy bones. She has a typical flexed stance with her hind-legs which make her backline slope downwards. Large, powerful paws with rather big claws. Tail is average in length. She carries her head quite high while standing still, but lower while walking.

Head: Downward sloping muzzle. Muzzle forms a 'soft' triangle shape in front view. Rounded chin. In profile, she has a little ‘dip’ between the eyes. Slightly convex muzzle-line. Rather small, pointy ears; high placed on the head. High placed, rather narrow eyes blue eyes. The dark pigmented edges and the low placed ‘eyebrows’ give her a ghostly look.
Fur: Snow white fur and dark (black) pigmented skin which is visible in the dark pigmented eyes, nose, lips, claws and paw pads. Her fur is like that of Norwegian Forest cat or Maine Coon, but with a more sturdy hair-structure. Very long hair on the neck and tail. Typical lateral directed pointy tufts of hair at both sides of the jaws. Summer-coat is much shorter (character sheet shows her winter coat)

Jewelry and accessories: she doesn’t wear any jewelry but has quite a few things related to witchcraft and ecals that she keeps in the Sætansen Fortress.

PERSONALITY & CHARACTER
Personality and mannerisms:
Dominant and yet very decent and reasonable with quite some good social skilled. She even seems to succeed in handling her crazy genius mate Matthias (something Matthias’ father epically failed with…). She is neat, polite, often serious, direct and straight forward. She doesn’t fuzz about things and makes her will clear in a few well chosen, direct words and clear, dominant body language.

However, underneath her serious, calm and hard outside, she’s quite crazy, bold, playful and adventurous. But not the kind of playful that most siderians would expect. Especially with her mate, she is downright violent (in a ‘playful’ way) and sadomasochistic (as much as her mate is) – mostly in the sexual context. On that front, her creativity has hardly any limits and she enjoys subduing him and make him scream of pain (something he invites her to do…). She also joins her mate once in a while on (rather reckless) adventures in human cities or crazy games like fjord/like-diving and that sort of stuff.

She has a strange kind of moral which makes her rather compatible with her psychopathic mate. She can understand what others might think/feel and cares in some ways but can also close herself off it and be completely indifferent- for example when Matthias does his occasional sadistic lab-work. I don’t know what makes her care and what makes here completely indifferent but there is a fine line there.
As it comes to raising her cubs, she is serious and very responsible. She wants to raise them properly and in a well-mannered way. Therefore, she keeps them mostly away from her crazy mate (who doesn’t care).

Type of humor: Bold, naughty and quite provocative – especially towards her mate. Half of her humor consists of bold play-fighting.

Voice and manner of speaking: Clear and beautiful female voice, yet a little bit low (like the first part in this song www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7zJ0y… ) Her word-use is very direct and determined.

Sexuality: pansexual like feck. She doesn’t care about the gender, nor sexuality of the ones she has a one-night-stand with (and that is rather often…she knows how to do anticonception very well, otherwise she would have had dozens of cubs). However, she’s mostly attracted to her sadomasochistic, crazy mate Matthias.

Spirituality and philosophy:
She is quite spiritual and works many different spirits, some of whom are Demons.
Her philosophy seems to be quite like ‘live the day/night’ and enjoy everything to the maximum. She lives by the strange combination of being highly spiritual and yet very down-to-Earth. But she makes it work.
Aesthetics: am working on that….
Fears: just like her mate, she’s quite fearless but not as reckless as him.
Dreams: I think she pretty much lives her dream. She’s content with her life as it is.
Interest, hobbies, occupation: Alva is into witchcraft of all kinds and not all fields she explores are equally ‘nice’. She has quite some solid ground in black magick and yet knows quite a lot about healing energy as well.
Otherwise, she does a lot of patrolling and other work for Matthias and is for some period of her life, quite busy with raising two cubs on her own.
Later, when she’s already old, she occasionally joins the Fjordland Force that is established by her grandson Stian. She is not as active as Matthias, but participates with her knowledge of witchcraft and just brutal physical strength, wherever she can.

Special skills: having the remarkable talent to find a balance between extremes, no matter what extremes. When she wants to, she just makes things work…
STORY

Mysterious ancestry
I don’t know much about her ancestry but not long after I first saw her, in 2001-2002, I knew she was a mysterious sideress and descendant of the legendary ‘Shine’. I still don’t know who this ‘Shine’ is, but she appeared clearly to me in 2003 as a white spirit who may once have lived as a ‘physical’ siderian. Siderians nowadays know her as legend and guiding spirit. The family of Alva’s mother claims to be the descendants of this legendary Shine. However I have never seen Alva’s mother nor other family members, only ‘felt’ their ancestry and energy. Her family feels like ‘a family of Light’ and typical characteristics are the white coat on dark skin, giving them dark-edged ghostly eyes. Her father, however, was a member of the ancient, (partly notorious) Sætansen dynasty; one could say a family of Darkness’. He may have left the Sætansen lands just in time before the ‘Dark One’ – Håkan Sætansen – wiped out the entire family and took over the ancient lands for himself. Håkan then brutally claimed the position as cluster coordinator of the nearest metacluster named MistFjord, thereby starting a time of tyranny for siderians living around that area. All I get now is that this Sætansen guy mated with one of the ‘Light Ones’ but that his identity as a Sætansen was revealed and that he was rejected and banished by Alva’s family. Alva’s mother was already pregnant and felt obliged to raise the cub. Little Alva was not appreciated by the family and left mostly alone with minimal care, but she was at least raised.

A big bold cub
Alva herself was a rather bold, fearless, rebellious and independent cub who didn’t care much about her family’s coldness. She was fed, provided with shelter and safety and that was enough for her. She hardened herself from a very young age and seemed not to care about the lack of affection and love. When Alva was around 3-4 years old, her mother brought her to the learning ground (a kinda ‘school’) in MistFjord and left her there under the supervision of the other adults who stayed with the cubs. Alva was on her own, but she found her way. Maybe even too good. Her way of playing was so violent that most other cubs got scared of her and supervising adults punished her. However, there was one cub who wasn’t scared and she liked challenging him. The interest was quickly mutual and she learned that this cub’s name was Matthias. Together they formed an crazy and violent duo, which often resulted in angry adults. Matthias’ mother (Norunn) was often kind enough to take both cubs away from the learning ground and let them play and explore together under her guidance.
When Alva was around 8 years old, she discovered that Matthias had just killed another cub for his crazy curiosity about anatomy. She wasn’t shocked but was left alone after other siderians had beaten up Matthias’ mother and she had left with her two cubs. It was also revealed that Matthias was the son of the dreaded cluster coordinator Håkan Sætansen. Alva remembered that her mother once mentioned her father’s ties to the Sætansen family as well but she didn’t give it much more thought. She didn’t care, even though Håkan had murdered several siderians after this incident. She remained friends with Matthias as soon as he came back and they continued their odd, violent play.
Mutual weirdness
Once they reached adolescent age, she noticed that Matthias was more often than not covered in scratch marks and wounds that witnessed of violent treatment. He didn’t seem bothered by it and said that his father had just been ‘in the way’ but that he wasn’t going to be stopped by the violence. Their way of playing became a lot more sexually tinted and they kept feeling attracted to each other’s weirdness. Alva got the feeling that she was the only one who had some sort of control over her crazy and genius friend, who was gradually turning into her mate. He seemed attracted to her rather violent play and so was she to his oddness. Alva rarely, if ever, returned to her family lands and only stayed around MistFjord and hung around with Matthias as soon as he was there.
To the Sætansen lands
When they reached their twenties, Matthias was so often injured that he got fed up with it and he told her about his plans for revenge. He was going to kill his father and stayed hidden in MistFjord for two years. Alva mostly minded her own business in that time but once Matthias had done what he planned to do, he invited her onto the Sætansen lands, which were now all his. Alva had never been there and was amazed by the immenseness of the Sætansen Fortress and the ancient relics, art, history and spirituality behind this family. She also saw the remains Matthias’ father… at first, it left her indifferent. Only when she found more of his music instruments and art, she began to wonder who Håkan really was as a person. Matthias never told her much.
Meanwhile, Matthias had turned the Sætansen Fortress into his private laboratory. He had also settled some of the conflicts with the neighboring families that Håkan had caused and a period of quiescence followed. Alva and Matthias often engaged in crazy sexual games and explored their sadomasochistic hobbies properly. Not long after they established themselves onto the lands, she got pregnant and the first cub, Morten, was born. Two years later, his little brother Axel was born. Alva did all the parenting alone and didn’t even want to involve her crazy mate too much with raising the kids.
Her kid's lost grandparents
While she worked with ecals for her own witchcraft interest, she found out that Matthias’ mother (Norunn) had revealed beautiful, touching memories (on intellithos, a kinda siderian equivalent of internet, based on ‘life-energy’) of Håkan and his music and art, that surprised her. She thought back of Norunn as a nice, caring person and felt pity for her. Alva left the cubs at the learning-ground and went out to search for Norunn and found her; heartbroken after the loss of her beloved mate. Alva promised to come back with something precious that she had found in the Fortress: Håkan’s cello. When little Morten and Axel were old enough, she brought them along to visit their grandmother. Norunn was glad to see them, but expressed that the thought of Håkan never having had a chance to meet his grandkids, hurt her too much and she asked Alva not to return.

Time for adventures and fun
Alva had a busy job raising both cubs alone, but she took this seriously. She wanted to raise them properly and teach them good manners. As they grew older and more independent, Alva was more on her own again. She mostly patrolled the lands, together with her sons, moved back and forth between MistFjord and the Sætansen lands to fetch things for Matthias and she worked on her own witchcraft. Occasionally, she stalked her mate and engaged in violent sexual games. They even went on adventure out of the lands a few times to have fun. She was still quite wild and playful (especially with her mate), despite her being a responsible mother for her cubs.

Troubles on the way
While Morten and Axel were reaching adulthood, the threat from humans that had established near the metacluster was growing. Siderians were occasionally getting shot and humans ventured boldly onto siderian lands. The way that Matthias dealt with the human-problem caused tension with the Nivalis family that was now coordinating the cluster but they maintained a truce. Both Morten and Axel found a mate who wanted to live on the Sætansen lands and the family was growing. Alva got along well with her ‘daughters –in-law’ (Mara, Morten’s mate and Malta, Axel’s mate) and was delighted to see the next generation as her sons both got their first cub. The happiness suddenly evaporated when Mara’s second born cub named Stígana, died in a snare-trap. Malta no longer felt safe and left to her homeland while she was pregnant of her second cub. Mara was in deep sorrow and was actually already pregnant of her third cub as well. Alva supported her where she could and finally, Matthias came out of his laboratory to reinforce the safety of the Sætansen lands.

Matthias’ rather radical actions caused more tension with the current cluster coordinators of MistFjord (the Nivalis) but still, he managed to maintain the truce. Malta returned when the worst danger was over, now with her three years old cub Yava. Mara’s third cub, Stian was born around the same time. Alva noticed how little Stian was venturing quite often into Matthias’ lab and seemed strongly interested in his grandfather’s human-business. When Stian was around 7-8 years old, he suddenly disappeared and thanks to Matthias and Morten he was saved from the humans that abused him. As Alva’s grandchildren grew up, she got back to her own business and occasional violent games with Matthias. Again, she noticed that Stian was rather often found around Matthias’ lab. When he reached his early twenties, he disappeared again after the sudden death of one of the Nivalis neighbours. The Nivalis were furious and launched the attack on the Sætansens. Alva and her sons fought them off but the situation remained toxic.
Only when humans became a seriously big problem, the territory squabbles were less prioritized. Even Axel’s mate Malta couldn’t escape the bullets but survived. After Alva had been pushing Matthias to take action , he was finally willing to share some of his genius ideas with the Nivalis family (who still coordinated the cluster) and together they tried to find a solution for this problem. However, the problem only got worse and more and more siderians got driven off their lands or murdered by invading humans.
The Fjordland Force
Alva later heard that Yava had found out where Stian was and went after him. After 17 years, Stian returned and soon after, he established a well-organized fighting group to defend the Fjordlands against humans. The group was quickly growing in numbers and soon carried the name Fjordland Force. Alva was already 108 years old when Stian’s force was becoming active and winning ground. She participated a bit with her knowledge of witchcraft but felt that her old age limited her activities. Matthias was as old as her, but still more active and joined every mission while Alva mostly stayed on the Sætansen lands, patrolling the borders. When she was 116 year old, the age was catching up with her. She tried to hold on until Matthias was back home, to tell her last good-bye and then left to disappear…

Both Morten and Axel found a mate who wanted to live on the Sætansen lands and the family was growing. Alva got along well with her ‘daughters –in-law’ (Mara, Morten’s mate and Malta, Axel’s mate) and was delighted to see the next generation as her sons both got their first cub. The happiness suddenly evaporated when Mara’s second born cub named Stígana, died in a snare-trap. Malta no longer felt safe and left to her homeland while she was pregnant of her second cub. Mara was in deep sorrow and was actually already pregnant of her third cub as well. Alva supported her where she could and finally, Matthias came out of his laboratory to reinforce the safety of the Sætansen lands.

Matthias’ rather radical actions caused more tension with the current cluster coordinators of MistFjord (the Nivalis) but still, he managed to maintain the truce. Malta returned when the worst danger was over, now with her three years old cub Yava. Mara’s third cub, Stian was born around the same time. Alva noticed how little Stian was venturing quite often into Matthias’ lab and seemed strongly interested in his grandfather’s human-business. When Stian was around 7-8 years old, he suddenly disappeared and thanks to Matthias and Morten he was saved from the humans that abused him. As Alva’s grandchildren grew up, she got back to her own business and occasional violent games with Matthias. Again, she noticed that Stian was rather often found around Matthias’ lab. When he reached his early twenties, he disappeared again after the sudden death of one of the Nivalis neighbours. The Nivalis were furious and launched the attack on the Sætansens. Alva and her sons fought them off but the situation remained toxic.
Only when humans became a seriously big problem, the territory squabbles were less prioritized. Even Axel’s mate Malta couldn’t escape the bullets but survived. After Alva had been pushing Matthias to take action , he was finally willing to share some of his genius ideas with the Nivalis family (who still coordinated the cluster) and together they tried to find a solution for this problem. However, the problem only got worse and more and more siderians got driven off their lands or murdered by invading humans.
The Fjordland Force
Alva later heard that Yava had found out where Stian was and went after him. After 17 years, Stian returned and soon after, he established a well-organized fighting group to defend the Fjordlands against humans. The group was quickly growing in numbers and soon carried the name Fjordland Force. Alva was already 108 years old when Stian’s force was becoming active and winning ground. She participated a bit with her knowledge of witchcraft but felt that her old age limited her activities. Matthias was as old as her, but still more active and joined every mission while Alva mostly stayed on the Sætansen lands, patrolling the borders. When she was 116 year old, the age was catching up with her. She tried to hold on until Matthias was back home, to tell her last good-bye and then left to disappear…
