There is not light source
Its simple a reflection map on a sphere inside a cube that is being mapped onto a nurb
Its much cheaper than real raytracing reflections.

i dunno .. there's something about this which doesn't sit right with me.
i think you need to re-focus your lightsource - the inside of the ring should be much darker, but as it is i had to look twice to work out if it was inside out or not

i think it was u who i told not to use refmaps.. look weird for me if the scene is not animated
