I've been wanted to draw this scene for ages! And I love how it came out. Apart from the background. Sorry it's so crap I done it so lazily XD The dens look so retarded :T
Now I think everyone can agree that at this point Rainflower was being heartless and selfish. I don't think anyone could like her when she done this?? It really hit me in the feels when I read how mean she was to Crookedkit, and how she was willing to give up her mate just so she could have things her way. Shellheart is also crying a bit because he still loved her.. it was really sad. Freaking Rainflower, she had a pretty name but was so cruel to her own kit.

I fell bad for Shellheart, Oakkit and Crookedkit. Shellheart had to brea up with the one that he loved beacause his ex-mate didn't had a minda. Oakkit, i do not rememberv if he blames himself for his brother's accident, and Crookedit seemed with fault because he tinked he literally destroyed his parents relationships ;'''(

Yeah, Shellheart really did love Rainflower always. She wasn't really that bad before, (I think she did seem a little vain at times but that was her personality) but I feel like some trauma just triggered this side to her and she acted really terribly towards her own son as a result. Even at this scene Crookedkit was placing his parents relationship before himself, which was pretty heartbreaking

Hmm... if we knew more about Rainflower her character prior to this, maybe I would be able to understand why she reacted in this way. Although I think almost no excuse could justify how cruel she was here, it would be nice if we saw character development. Doesn't mean I have to like her, but it could be interesting.

I TOTALLY AHREE! **Agree. Before I started reading Warriors, I found a character named Rainflower. At first I loved her as a great character, but once I found out she was being abusive and a b1tch to Crookedkit, I moved on to Silverstream, then Bluestar.

This scene made me so sad and sickened by Rainflower's sense of pride and a will to have "handsome" children. Like really, Crookedkit had one flaw and then you make it sound horrendous.

This was the moment I realized she could never be redeemed. That heartless [insert insult]--I can't even think of something bad enough to call someone who turns on their kid like this. Storm/Crookedkit wasn't the only one feelin' sick. But on the bright side, he eventually became leader and she died of a head injury, which I feel is just karma.

yes, they say that "if you believe the thing you did was right, even if it is against the warrior code, you get to be in star clan, if you did what you did over hatred, envy,spite,revenge, ambition, you get to be in star clan. RainFlower is hateful, but does hatred, envy, spite, revenge and ambition only apply if it involves murder? or betrayal? and when it is "okay" and "not okay" or "justified" or "not justified" i mean (spoiler) hollyleaf murdered ashfur, thinking it was the right thing to do, but then later tried to feed leafpool death berries, and outed them both on the gathering. You may also argue that BlueStar, naming BrightHeart into LostFace, was a act of cruelty, and "revenge" for her being foolish, and BlueStar had no reason to think it was "justified" even if it was or was not against the warriorcode, it was a very cruel punishment.

Rainflower is probably my least favorite character because she judges him for how he looks instead of who he really is. And she changed his name because of an accident, was favoring Oakkit/paw/heart because he didn't have a deformity, and she stopped loving her own son, So Rainflower here is you're worst mother of the year award!
