Pre-Y2K artwork that I had submitted to another defunct online contest - this time it was the Monthly Anime Character competition. Unlike the MVGC though, the MAC site is long gone.The Ballad of Ranma & Akane
Originally I planned to submit a 'realistic' portrait sketch of Ranma, but realized you only have one shot at it, so made this wedding poster instead. After all, Rumiko Takahashi's Ranma½ series had already finished. The idea came when I realized the submissions will be shown on February (of course, February has a slightly different connotation in the Japanese culture). Due to time constraints, I wasn't able to make Akane's dress fancier.

This is some good stuff and don't forget that there is a new Ranma OVA out called Sleeping With Nightmares that's on volume 34 chapter 10 in the manga. I haven't seen it subbed or out yet but it was out August 1st during the Rumic World exhibition you know where you can see the introduction on youtube with Ataru and Lum on Urusei Yatsura and Kagome and Inuyasha and Ranma. Still this is pretty good and putting in the adult Hinako and Soun and the rest of the couples.

Something to keep an eye on then, even though I had stopped reading Ranma already.
Thanks for the comment, I've always thought that Soun and Hinako would make a pretty couple. It was pretty much on a whim that I added the other 4 couples to the artwork.

Well she did try to hit on him on I think volume 29 but hey I also heard about a new Inuyasha OVA coming out and if that does well then they might bring the series back. If Rumiko Takahashi other two works Maison Ikkoku and Ursuei Yatsura could finish all the manga based episodes then Ranma 1/2 and Inuyasha should finish their's up too.
