Description
Ah, Plantsims. The forgotten lifestate. Other lifestates have fun things added to them like a new outfit or new features. But Plantsims are part of a "Plantsim Challenge" and BOY is it challenging to live as a Plantsim. It's so challenging, in fact, that it's not fun at all! All your time is spent either filling the water need or the sunlight need.

I wanted to change all that. My goal was to make Plantsims fun to play as.

With that in mind this pack contains the following:

Edited Plantsim trait and tuning

- I've opened up trait to Children and Toddlers; idle animations do not play for those ages; those ages stretch when becoming Plantsims
- Eliminated the default hair
- Eliminated the time limit
- Allows toddlers to absorb water from kiddie pool and baths Being a Toddler Plantsim would be next to impossible for them to fill this without these changes.
- Plantsims eat more sunlight and water in far less time.
- Eating sunlight hardly drains water at all.

- No Physical Change - If you want a Plantsim that doesn't look like a Plantsim use the package with this on it. You have to use it or the regular Edited package. Choose one.

- To play as infants use the debug cheat! I've changed it to directly apply the main buff and trait! After that the game will recognize them as Plantsims!

Plantophic-C aka "The Plantsim Cure", Bottle of Super Spice aka "The Plantsim Cure"

Sims 2 and 3 conversions. If Plantims don't revert via a timer then I have to make SOME way of reverting them and this is it.

- Plantsim cures are found in misc small appliances
- Despite being visually different they are all the same. I just wanted to incorporate the older official models. The official models clip terribly so I also made a version out of the stressed cowplant drink.
- As a side effect of this mod children and toddlers can consume cowplant essences.

The Toasty Garden Lamp sans Toast aka "The Plantsim Lamp"

A Sims 2 conversion. Making a Plantsim go outside all the damned time to absorb light is so tedious. And what about when it's cloudy? Or dark? Honestly, the game needed this so badly it's not even funny.

- Fills a Plantsim's hunger need when on.
- This mod has it's own tuning so it won't affect other lights.
- I wish I could make it do something for regular plants, but I just can't imagine what that would be.

The Subtle Saucer Light for Plantsims (Big and Small)

- Like the Toasty Garden Lamp, this fills up a Plantsim's hunger. It's basically the same thing, but cheaper.

Plantsim Travel Items

Batuu is the enemy of all lifestates, but these items should make travelling less of a chore for Plantsims.

Sunflower Plantsim Lamp - This is a bunch of sunflowers that act as a portable lamp that Plantsims can use to eat sunlight in places that just don't have sunlight anywhere. Like Batuu! Despite being mostly outdoors.

Kiddiepool changes - There are no pools or bathtubs on Batuu! So what can you do? Well, now you can take your kiddiepool with you so your Plantsim can awkwardly place it in the street and take a dip whenever they wish!

Little Plantsim Crib and Baby

- This item throws errors all the time after the infant update! it's sad, but that's how it goes sometimes. If you have it you'll have to remove it.

This mod was heavily inspired by G1G2's work. - It just didn't do everything I wanted from a Plantsims mod. I'd be remiss in not mentioning it.
More PlantSims Interaction by Triplis. - This adds some fun interactions to Plantsims.
Forbidden Fruit fills Hunger and Water by LittleMsSam. - Since Plantsims need more food sources.
Trait/Custom Life State Inheritance & Club Filters. - KlingonDragon Informed me that he's planning to update this mod. With it you can actually have babies inherit the Plantsim trait!

A Batuu update! A new lamp has been added so Plantsims can eat sunlight anywhere that doesn't have sunlight for Plantsims to eat ... like Batuu, for soem reason. In addition the kiddiepool has been changed to make it portable for - you guessed it - Plantsim support on Batuu! I've made a new package with these items and the Toasty lamp all together since they share tuning. So please delete Gauntlet101010_2t4_ToastyGardenLamp.package when you put Gauntlet101010_4_Plantsim_Items.package in your mods folder.

Someone wanted a version where Plantsims didn't become green. So there's a flavor of this called "NoPhysicalChange" in the zip that does just that.

Made a Plantsim light out of The Subtle Saucer Light. Just search for Plantsim, all my items have that in the title.

I neglected to make the kiddiepool raise a Plantsim's Water stats quickly for non-toddlers. So I've fixed that. The Baby's leaves also, at some point, ceased to be transparent. Fixed that too.

Infant update! Infants can now be Plantsims. Although you need to cheat to make it happen since they're too young to eat Forbidden Fruit. Bottle feeding will raise both hunger AND water since I couldn't get just water to work. I wanted to get the Plantsim crib to work too, but no dice; the height is just too different and it doesn't work. I'll try again some other time. I wanted to get this functional for infants so I can make outfits when that's possible.

Infant update (again)
After I updated for infants the game updated again rendering my previous update useless. So I overrode the plantsim cheat to allow infants to become plantsims that way once again! Also the infant update really did permanently break my poor Plantsim baby object. I don't think I can fit it, so I removed it from the package.

Apparently having infants or toddlers ask for a bath is a totally different interaction than an adult Sim simply giving them a bath. So the Water need wasn';t being filled. I've addressed this so now it fills VERY quickly. It's not totally consistent since "give" fills up a need to two while "take" looks for a need to be filled up Why isn't it the same logic? I dunno), but at least it fills the need up.
