love the sprite-like luminances going on, looks like sparks jumping across what looks like dry leaves. and the title was a grand choice.. it makes me think of nature and night. i tried modeling something (more like, anything) just yesterday on maya 4.5.... its so hard

very nice piece. i wish it was a bit sharper, but the way it currently is seems to add this strange calm to the piece. like there isn't any tension, though it appears so violent. the atmosphere and the mood in this is far from destructive. it seems more calm and gentle almost, and there's this weird to the piece. when you look at it, you don't think of anything violent or fierce.
i love the colours, and the lighting. they seem to contrast yet compliment each other to create beautiful results. this resembles something large and metallic flying over the sea, orbitting the earth.
i said before that this didn't seem very fierce and violent. i stand by that. but now, it seems like something different. it seems almost like a thing or a person, that seems to have it's own personality and more than anything, it seems intimidating, and kind of creepy or menacing. there is nothing violent about it, i think you would have to make it sharper to get that, but it seems like something unnerving almost.
i'm sorry for the terrible comment.
i have a headache now, and can't think clearly.
