seriously, i'm too tired to comment, but i promised (well, kinda 
what i really like about this render is how simple it is. i don't mean that as an insult, but some renders are so detailed; they're quite beautiful to look at but really, they give me a headache. it's so hard to point out exactly which bits i like, whereas i can do that perfectly here.
i don't have a clue to what the hell brushing and rendering are, so i'll just comment on the whole piece.
i love the way the whole thing is like one long tube and at the bottom, there's a little explosion.
that's beautiful, how (if that was a line of conformists) that one little things bursts through.
kind of hits home.
i love the lighting too, and the textures; how this is so smooth, yet so evil and dark, bursting with darkness that hides under that smoothness.

For your first proper attempt at abstract i'd say you're on the right track, chris is a good mate of mine he would never let you down with a render. Great colours here mate and lovely brushing, nice and simple is the key

Really looks great man, beautiful passionate colouring. No overdone type stuff, and the render doesnt overthrow the whole piece.

well, chris' render is awesome, and so is your way of expertly colouring it, to suit the mood and whole thing. the emergene of the aura-like blast of light...blows me away. like an emergence of something, maybe a virus...something to do with the body, I think.

i didn't know you did shit like this! i mean, i haven't been to your galery much...seeing as you dont have any naked pictures.
but dude seriously...this is so fucking SOPHISTOCATED. like, very tight and crisp. the design is totally modern and eye catching, but modest at the same time. the way the shades of red are realised , are perfect. That exquisite cluster of shapes situated in the middle of the piece, look like an entanglement of red vines and tendrills.
very organic and flower-like, as well. just an awesome mixture of technological graphic design, and paganism.
