BEWARE OF SEMI-LONG RANT.
Augh. I know a lot of people who hate Twilight, especially now that it's gaining popularity. Unfortunately, this is also the reason why more and more people like Twilight. My question is: WHY?!
For one, THE MAIN CHARACTERS ARE ALL FUCKING MARY SUES. Bella is so ridiculously clumsy that, rather than being an endearing character trait, it's a huuuuuge fault. Not only that, but EVERYONE. LOVES. HER. Now why is that? Especially considering the fact that, ummm, she's not supposed to be pretty? Not only that, but she can be such a bitch, too. And in Eclipse, she's downright horny. Pretty sickening, consider the one she wants to get it on with is dead. Damn necrophiliac...
Then there's Edward. He sucks at life, seriously. LOL 102-year-old virgin, anyone? Drama queen. Priss. Tries to be virtuous by refusing to have sex with Bella and PRETTY MUCH ATTEMPTING TO FREAKING RAPE HER AT THE END OF ECLIPSE. WATCHES HER SLEEP. Stalked Bella. And you know what? She didn't even care. She was actually FLATTERED that a potential murderer was following her around and staring at her through her window. Wow. No teenage girl can seriously be that trusting.
And then there's Jacob, who I was too lazy to draw. Two words: Fucking. Rapist.
Okay, so putting characters aside, let's talk about the plot. See the size of the book? Well, take a #2 pencil and admire it's size. Got it to memory? Well, if you chopped out all the bullshit and about 9/10 of Bella's thoughts focused on Edward, that's what the size of Twilight would be. As stated above, in the illustration, 298 pages in New Moon was wasted on the fucking "gaping hole" in Bella's chest. Errr, okay. But Jacob tried to help her! That was made null and void by the fact that she fucking left him to go with the guy who LEFT HER IN THE MIDDLE OF A FOREST AT LIKE MIDNIGHT.
Then there's Eclipse. Oh, Eclipse. Why oh why is Bella important enough to warrant a fucking VAMPIRE ARMY TO GO KILL HER? Seriously. And, oh look! She decides she loves BOTH Edward and Jacob (that whore!)~ Eeeyeah. Okay.
So yeah. I'm really far too lazy to rant more about how there's a lack of real plot and character depth. Yeah...

I SWEAR. It pretty much sums up almost ALL of my thoughts on Twilight.
When it first came out, and all my little scumbag whore friends (who, as you can guess, I no longer hang with. Drugs. Oh, and crimes. Not my style. Oh, and this is funny: They all went downhill after they got obsessed with Twilight. Its probably a coincidence, but still funny) begged me to read it, I gave it a chance. It was ok. Not fantabulous. Not epic. Not OMGSOFUCKINGKAWAIIDESUDESUDESU!!!11one. It was ok. I've read better. I could WRITE better. I'm FOURTEEN.
Then- oh lord - the fangirls. I swear to whatever god may reside in heaven - the fangirls. I could not stand the fangirls. I still can not. In PE, my team were against a team of girls called "Twilight" all wearing "I HEART TWILIGHT!" "TEAM EDWARD/JACOB" "I AM THE FUTURE MRS CULLEN" shirts over their gym clothes. I left PE. I got written up, had to attend detention, and IT WAS WORTH IT.
I you cant go ANYWHERE without seeing/hearing TWILIGHT TWILIGHT TWILIGHT.
Honestly - and this is no lie - I got BEAT UP once because I merely said, "Twilight is okay... but I drastically prefer Maximum Ride..."
BEAT. UP. As in, a black eye.
And I know a boy who was DUMPED by his girlfriend because, as she put it, and I quote, "You arent enough like my Edward... sorry."
Twilight's Edward. Yes.
Alright, I'm going to calm down now, and end this comment there before I pass out. Anyway, I absolutely love this comic. I like the art, as well. You're great.

i swear twilight is like a drug....it wierd i agree with absolutly everything people say thats bad about twilight and i actually enjoy anti twilight art more than pro twilight stuff....but some reason i cant get enough of the freakin thing.....i hate it...i enjoy it....but hate the characters.....cept jacob....dont know why....

Yah gonna add a rant on Breaking Dawn? I see a lot of potential to call out the various/numerous/many plotholes and various SPARKLING insults to vampires.
Vampires own. And everyone knew that until it was revealed that they sparkled. Must have something to do with over-exposure to radioactive disco balls. *sarcasm*
Seriously, though. Now, it's the terrible trio: Dracula, Nosferatoo (or however you spell his name), and Edwrad Cullen--they all have a whole lot to say forthemselves on ruining the vampire reputation!

if you chopped out all the bullshit, thesaurus rape, purple prose, piontless descriptions of eward and bella bitching about everything in the FIRST book, you would have that single excerpt from the bible and the copywright info (the cover would be gone, since its referencing a forbidden friut, and their love is NOT FORBIDDEN IN THE SLIGHTEST).On the other hand, if you're atheist, then you really only have the copywright info page. everything on that entire single page is ten million times more interesting to read than the rest of the SERIES!!!!!

I don't think that Bella is a Mary Sue. The only thing she's guilty of is being a dumbass.
Now if you want a Mary Sue, check out Integra from the Hellsing Anime. She was portrayed in that as the most horrible, witchy sue you'll ever see.

I like Twilight for one reason:
MYTHICAL CREATURES DISCOVERED IN ORDINARY TOWN.
Romance? Gack.
Edward? Too perfect and kinda boring.
Bella? Yeah, she's a Sue.
Vampires vs. werewolves in a century-long battle, all the while being stalked by the kings of vampires, who are out to persecute those who discover the existence of the vampires as well as the children who are half human/half vampire?

the one thing I thank the Lord is that after Edward dumped Bella, Stephenie forwarded all those months because, seriosly, I don't think anyone would've been able to continue the book....

But it doesn't help that there are people out there that make Harry an almost-not-quite exact copy of Bella... Um... HELLO! Wasn't the point of putting Harry in the story to avoid all the things about Bella that we hated?
But yes... us slasher now have a new crossover pairing to support... though I actually support Jasper/Harry (they'll have more things in common considering the whole war thing) and the Carlisle/Harry (because that'd just be cute, what with Carlisle being a doctor and Harry having that adorably-irrational hatred/fear of hospitals/infirmary's.)
