I do some portraits from time to time, mainly for a magazine I shoot for (OTOT is it's name, and it's for marketing and advertising). This is Shoni Rivnai, one of the owners of an Advertising agency in Israel (Bauman Ber Rivnai). I wanted to take his picture in a surrounding to best tell who he is. Other than his day job, he is an accomplished artist and painter, so I asked to take his picture in his loft, where he paints. When I saw his own self portrait, he just finished, it was obvious to me what I should do. I love this one very much.

I think it's a cool idea, but I'm not too fond of the way his eyes are looking down. But I get the idea, it's supposed to be like his painting pose...still cool though

honestly? lol, i think im going against the flow but this is the only picture i've ever seen of yours that i didn't like. i dont know why, it just doesn't interest me. but your other work it brilliant!

Portraiture can many times be fake, an illusion of somebody that is not.

That is a very nice picture. The painting is astounding, and the way that he has a very similar facial expression as he did in the painting is a nice touch.
