Not sure if everyone already has this new submission page, but in case anyone gets confused by it, this is how adding installable journal skins works now.Hope it helps some of you.
If you have suggestions for tutorials or anything similar, leave your feedback at my forum (see my profile).
Basically the steps are:1. Create the code and images files.
2. Create the needed .txt file (see this is you need further help: fav.me/d6n2de9 )
3. Add the .txt file first and the previer afterwards.
4. Submit and add the single images. Done!

For some reason now when I try to make a skin and upload it will not let me make it installable :c

I don't really know how to explain it but when I upload it and pick category it only gives me written suggestions.

I just recently submitted a journal, i can't complete the submission, to make it installable, but the categories have been there for me.

Works with any text program. Just name it and put .txt behind the name.

i might seem rly stupid but how do u create the code? i have the image file but i rly dont know what that meant

That's a question i can't give you a simple answer to.
Have you looked at tutorials of how to code a journal? There are plenty of them in my gallery or over at #eCSSited . I also have created video tutorials about the steps from designing to coding.

mine when i upload it to a journal thing it has a error i did the code and everything D: did what u did just it wont upload it to my journals

What you can see here are the steps to make it available for the public as an installable skin. If you just want to have it for your own journal, then you might have too much code. There are snippets like etc that you wouldn't need for your own journal.
To be able to help you, i need to know first if you want it for your own journal or add it to your gallery as an installable skin.

Then you can't use this as a help. When you have coded your journal already, you don't need that "sharing structure" and the .txt files it needs for the upload.
If your code is done, just apply that to your journal without any additions to the CSS.

No, i don't have such an account.
If you go to your journal page and create a new journal, you go to "Edit Skin" and there you add the CSS code you have done. If that still gives you errors, send me your CSS code so that i can look for errors.

That code is non-functional. Mostly because the syntax is wrong, but also because you wrote "background" wrong one time. You always have to check for such things while coding first.

check for the right syntax. Should always be .classname{property: value;}
If any character is missing or the properties written wrong, then you get such an error.

Syntax is just the name for how it has to be written. One mistake and the whole code won't work.
Just compare your code with what i have written in bold and that all backgrounds are written right. Then it should work fine.

I have told you to check the word 'background'. If you look closer at your error message, you will see that it is written wrong. If you fix that, it will work

When you copy error messages, it should be complete. Otherwise it's always tricky to know what is wrong and what not. And it usually tells you what is wrong and what not. In this case the last was too much and should be removed
