Happy almost-Birthday sweetie, now you're an adult!

This is the birthday drawing for my girlfriend Merleee , who will turn 18 years old very soon

But this isn't just a birthday drawing, there actually is a meaning behind this one.

As some of you probably already know, I like trains and Merleee loves horses. So that's why I drew myself in a train and her on a horse. Quite logical.

...But without horses, trains would probably not exist or would be completely different. The first locomotives were actually...horses.
Some people think trains didn't exist until the first steam locomotive was invented, but railways were used long before that, they even existed in ancient Greece. The first trams were also horse-pulled.

So what I want to say with this drawing is that I would not be who I am today without Merleee, she turned my life upside-down and I'm very grateful for that. Both our lives are not so easy and sometimes we just don't know what's wrong with us, but I know that we're meant to be together and that we can solve any problem that can occur. And soon enough, we can finally be together forever. I just can't imagine my life without you anymore and I would never want to leave you

So yeah, happy birthday darling, glad you enjoyed all my presents for you, love you

...And before someone ask "Aren't trains faster than horses?", remember that horses and trains don't always run at full speed
