Description
this image wenth through quite a metamorphosis.the 'underpainting' of reds and greens, was an illustration that i was having a hard time bringing in focus. So.. i decided to 'paint' over it with digital samplings of old papers. Turned out that's just what i needed to do.

me 2! this probably the 3rd time those paricular lines have found their way into an illustration of mine.
i drew them in corel painter. one of the reasons i love working digitally is that i can create something that looks traditional-- but never have to cut up or physically alter the images i am using-- so that means i get to reuse them in different ways!

i remember those days! back when i was at the art institute. going and getting film negatives, or film positives made. shopping for Press type from the letraset catalogue. and if you were lucky enough to afford it--- you cold have a *colour* photocopy made!

thank you kindly. I know it's been a few weeks since i posted anything. I was transitioning back to an old job and actually had been working in this image here and there in the last few weeks-- just was having trouble getting it to come in to focus-- something clicked today.. so yay!
