Description Oskar felt a shock going through his body and his eyes shot wide open. All he could see was the sky, surrounded by leaves. His sight was blurry, but it was clear enough for him to see where he was and because of the pressure on his back, he knew that he was lying on his back.

It was the strangest feeling he had had. His arms and legs were stale as usual when he had been sleeping for a long time, but he didn't remember going to bed. He remembered running after an Ariados, carrying Libna in a sort of cocoon, but after a few seconds, he woke up, lying where he was now.

As usual when waking up, he stretched his limbs to get rid off the stiffness and also squirming a little, to make sure everything got streched properly. When that was done and he felt all the stored energy running into his limbs, he sat up and looked around. He had been lying in a small meadow. One he recognized, at that.

He caught something moving in the corner of his eye. Expecting to be alone, he almost jumped at the sight of it and turned in a twitch at its direction, however his fear left as quick as it came when he saw what had moved. It was a poorly sewn Banette, with different colours and patterns on every patch it had. The arms were in way different length, the zipper it had as a mouth was rusty and the extension on the back of its head was completely straight.

It was just sitting there, sleeping with its head supported by the longer arm it had, occasionally twitching in its sleep. The sight of it wasn't his happiest, though. With slight force in his voice, Oskar talked to it, expecting to startle it.

- "You're not going to leave me alone, are you?"

It had the desired effect. The badly patched ghost made a small startled jump, but it didn't do more than that for a long time. A smile then slowly crept onto its zipper mouth and it started chuckling. With a voice nearly identical to Oskar's own, though a bit nore sinister, it replied to his question.

- "Nah..." he giggled, without changing his position. "what fun would that be?"

- "... You could've chosen a better time, you know..."

Now, the Banette stood itself up and revealed its eyes. One of them were just a big clothes button. The other was just a triangular piece of fabric, somewhat shaped like an eye with just a small dot as pupil.

- "On the contrary, Dear hangman. There couldn't have been a better time."

Oskar raised an eyebrow at the odd nickname.

- "'Hangman'? That's a new one..."

- "Well, you are hanging from a tree. Anyway, this is a perfect time for me to break the trinity."

- "The trinity...?" Oskar huffed and rolled his eyes. "You really have to call it that? Besides, you've never succeeded before. I don't think you'll do it now, either."

- "No, but you know what?" The Banette asked and walked towards him, stopping just a foot away from Oskar and gave him an even bigger smile than before. It seemed somewhat delighted over the situation. "This time, I've had some unexpected help."

He stepped back from the Leavanny and created a small, floating triangle in the air. In one corner, there was a shape of a heart. In the other, there was just a blue sphere of light and in the last, there was a silhouette of a pokémon. It then pointed at the last mentioned one and looked to Oskar.

- "You see, a life is a triangle: It has a body..." He pointed at the heart shape. "Has a heart..." he pointed at the last, being the blue sphere. "... and a mind. Now this is what I call the Tri--"

- "The trinity, I know." Oskar interrupted. "This is, I think, the seventh time you've explained this to me."

The ragged pokémon's smile faded into a displeased frown. It then sighed and shook its head.

- "You really are boring... As if you've never liked to retell a story... but sure, let's 'cut the crap'."

Once again, it pointed at the silhouette, without smiling this time.

- "Now, when you fought that Gyarados, which might I add: was quite nuts, and then almost directly after fought the Ariados." He took a pause and the silhouette exploded in a dark purple fog, with the lines connecting it to the other corners slowly fading away. "You body broke."

He moved his hand to point at the corner which had the heart at its end. It was just a line left of what used to be a triangle. - "When the said Ariados took 'the only one' away, without you being able to get her back." He said with a mocking giggle and as with the first sign, the heart went up in a purple smoke. "Your heart broke."

Instead of pointing at the last one, he walked up to Oskar again with his smile coming back. He didn't say anything for a long while. It was like he was waiting for Oskar to say it, but with the place being completely silent, it lost its patience quickly and went on with the story.

- "And now I'm here to take the last support from the pillory, to make the building crash to the ground... and with that glitchy guardian of yours out of the way, there's finally no one in the way."

Oskar did not look impressed. Not even slightly intimated of the Banette's words.

- "As. I. Said..." He grunted and stood up beside the slightly smaller ghost. He saw the last, blue sphere float a few feet away and walked over to it. Once there, he took it in his leaf shaped hand and looked closesy at it. "You can't break this. GLee is not the only one I've got. Remember when I finished you and a year later, you started this nonsense?"

The Banette sighed and looked away, his smile once again turning to a frown. Oskar only looked at him and smirked.

- "Exactly. I had my uncle to help me... and I met him way before GLee even was born. I'm not saying I only rely on my uncle, but the thought of him still being around is enough for me to keep you back."

- "What if I said he wasn't around, anymore...?"

- "Then I'd say you're a liar, since I talked to him before leaving on this trip."

At that point, the Banette had been silenced. There was nothing he could say to disprove that, even with a following lie. There was no way Oskar would believe it, even if it was true.

- "Well." It said and smirked. "It was worth a try, at least... but I know exactly how to break that little bubble even though all that."

- "Well." Oskar repeated with a taunting tone and tossed the sphere up in the air, catching it as it came down again. "I'd like to see you try, Plushie."

The Banette's smirk turned into a big grin and he grew to five times his size. With only a couple of steps, it had walked up to Oskar, causing him to jump slightly and drop the sphere.

- "See?" The now six feet tall ghost rumbled. "Just by growing, you're already shaking."

That was true. Seeing a pokémon grow like that was not something you would see every day. Something then got to his mind and he looked at the giant, slightly confused.

- "Wait a minute... I am hanging from a tree?"

- "Yes. I found you all beat up, hanging from a tree. So...?"

Oskar started laughing. With just that line, his fears had disappeared again. He held his leaves together and couldn't resist a big grin at this revelation.

- "You said I am hanging from a tree... not was."

- "What's your point, Hangman?"

- "My point is..." He started and held his arms straight out. "This is not real. I am still hanging from the tree, but as I'm not there now and..." He looked down at himself. "I'm not completely naked any more, this is just a dream."

Once again, the ghost just stood there in silence with a displeased frown on his lips. He had used Dream Eater to get into the Leavanny's head while he was knocked out, causing this all to be just that. A dream.

- "Got'cha there, Plushie."

The plushie grunted when realizing this, himself. This was all just a dream and since Oskar was too exhausted on the outside to even stay awake, the only way he could be hurt by the Banette was through his mind.

- "You have a point, though, Plush." Oskar continued, putting his one leafed arm to his chin and the other below it for support. "A body can't live without a mind and since my body is close to dead, I'll most likely die if you kill my mind, as well."

At this point, he started giggling as he'd do when things were embarrassing or just too much. The latter could most accurately describe the situation, as there were just too much to for him to think about and with two being in the same dream--

- "Anything can happen..."

The ghost could still not say anything. He was enraged that he didn't think of that huge setback. Without giving any more thought, he lashed out at the Leavanny, who just stood there with confidence and as the Banette's hand hit the ground where Oskar stood, he was already gone. He looked around the meadow, but the bug was nowhere to be found.

- "If you're just going to hide, then this will be a real boring dream, Hangy!" He screamed and walked around, shaking trees and bushes to find the Leavanny. "Get the Hell out here!"

For a time, he got no answer. All that was heard was the tree's leaves rustling. No matter where he looked, he couldn't find the bug anywhere. He sat down in the middle of the clearing and grumped. None of this had gone as he had planned. It was going to be a quick visit to his mind, a little breaking here and there and he would be done, but in a place where everything could happen, there was a lot of wrong things that could happen.

Then it was his time to get an idea. Everything could happen, so that would mean he could do whatever he wanted, as long as it happened in the dream. He gave it a shot and as he had hoped, Oskar appeared in front of him again, feeling mighty confused and awkward, which clearly could be told on his expression.

- "Didn't think of that, did you, Hangman?"

Oskar shook his head.

- "Can't say I did... Good to know you have some fluff in your head, as well and not just in your belly." He stretched his body again and took a stance. With a quick upwards motion with his arm, he slowly grew to the Banette's size and giggled. "Hmhmhm... It actually worked..."

Once in this resized format, he took a steady hold around the ghost's neck and looked it in its poorly substituted eyes. There, he stopped there for a second, as the situation felt strangely familiar. It was like when he fought the Ariados, just hours before this strange event. He later snapped out of it and went back to the present.

- "I'll give you one chance. Would you please get out of my head or do I have to kick you out through my ears?"

They looked at each other, without either of them saying anything. Then they broke out in a laughter, as none of the two could keep a straight face after that demand.

- "Through your ears!?" the plushie chuckled. "What the Hell!?"

Oskar was busy laughing, so it took a while before he responded.

- "W... hehe... Well, that was the only thing I came up with, at the moment."

- "Why not the eyes? With that size, they are much easier to find!"

They both kept laughing for a long while after that. Oskar never loosened his grip, however, so when the laugh break was over, they instantly went back to the seriousness of the situation.

- "Anyway" Oskar sighed. "as I said: Do I have to force you or can you get out by yourself?"

- "I think I'll pass. I still have a few cards up my sleeve."

- "Well, then."

Oskar raised his arm, ready to give the ghost a proper beating. He was more than tired of having this pest on his heels whenever he was sleeping, so if this was to be an all out fight, he wanted to have the first strike. It never came, though, because the ghost had suddenly transformed in a way that made the Leavanny stop in shock.

The ghost had turned yellow. The eyes had turned red and bigger and then moved to the side of its head, which had taken a more round and smooth shape. His arms and legs were now long and thin with a dark blue colour, instead of gray, and his hands were replaced by two large spikes. The tail had grown into a big, yellow sphere with a cone shaped tip and two black stripes going around it, while the spikes on its head had taken the form of two antennae. To top it off, two large pair of wings grew out from its back.

It had transformed into the shape of a Beedrill and was looking at him with a sad expression. At first, Oskar didn't understand why the Banette had done that, but when he heard it wheeze a pitiful "friend", he removed his hand immediately and stepped back, almost falling down on his back.

- "THAT. IS NOT. FAIR PLAY!!!"

The Banette, now in the shape of a Beedrill, only laughed at his reaction. For once, something had worked as planned.

- "Anything can happen, as you said. I made something happen." The Beedrill laughed and walked towards Oskar. "What's the matter? "It's just a dream"... This shouldn't aff--"

He didn't have time to finish his sentence, before he was sent flying backwards into a few of the trees, breaking them and making them fall over. It made him slightly dizzy and he stayed down to try and understand what just happened. After a lot of struggle, because of the unfamiliar body, he managed to get up in a sitting position and get a look at Oskar, who had an arm glowing green from a Leaf Blade.

- "Thanks for reminding me, Plush." He chuckled and gave the faked Beedrill a polite bow. "If you didn't say anything, you could have used that against me, so I'm grateful you did."

His confidence was at its top. Knowing that this was all a dream, caused by his own exhaustion and the Banette's Dream Eater, he did not have any disadvantages against him anymore, but there was one thing that made him feel uneasy. One thing that made him fear for his life.

In order to get the ghost out, he had to kill it in the dream, which would be hard when it had that form. If he managed to beat the ghost, it would because of the mind's emergency death brake, wake up and by that, be out of Oskar's head. Because of his own state, with his body being almost practically dead, he feared that it he was defeated, that would be it.

His body was too exhausted to wake up, so if he was killed in this, he feared that he would not wake up. The ghost could just go back in, no matter how many times it was defeated, but he had no "extra lives", himself.

- "You can still leave, you know."

- "And give up?" The Beedrill asked a bit sarcastic and tried getting up on its feet. "I thought you knew me..."

- "That's why I asked!" Oskar yelled and held his hands out again. "I thought you would be wise for once!"

- "Nah. What fun would that be?"

Oskar covered his face and took a deep breath. He really hated the attitude the ghost had. Mostly because it was exactly as his own, though a more murderous one. When he took his hands away from his face, his pest was standing right in front of him, still as a Beedrill.

- "Is it my turn now?" The ghost wailed and had somewhat of a disliking look in his face. Similar to one you would see on a child, when their friend had gotten something they wanted, too. It caused the Leavanny to start chuckling. Its personality really was the same as his own.

- "I guess this will be the fight of our dreams, Aye?"

- "More or less... yes."

Oskar took a few steps back and gave the Banette a bow as if he was asking it for a dance, with one hand behind his back and the other pointing outwards.

- "Ladies first..."

I'd say you're doing a pretty good job, although some of the explanations felt a little long-winded at times.

Thanks!

Yeah, I can agree with that a bit. In earlier writings, I have been told that the plot has gone forwards a little too fast, making it a bit confusing and hard to keep up with what's happening, so I aimed this more on explanations.

I'm making some progress, though.

Såklart. Det var bara ett kast mitt in i en händelse. Man vet inte mycket av vad som hände före det här, men det var lite granna meningen.

Thank you!
