I was home for the weekend, so I didn't have access to my drawing tablet. I did have my alcohol markers though, so I opted to draw a traditional image. It's been a pretty long time since my last one, so it's interesting to see how much I've changed since then.As with most of my more experimental pictures, I opted to use Gavin as my subject matter. I mean, he looks cool doing just about anything, so there's a lot of leg room to mess up. I tried to use my color theory knowledge here and utilize tertiary colors. What do you think, did it turn out all right? I was inspired by a certain anime for this pose, can you tell what it is? I'll give you a hint, it's an old one.
His robe was supposed to be purple, but the scanner didn't quite catch it. Ah well.

Thanks! The reference is from the second opening of the anime Lupin the third. That's a really old one, so I'm not surprised that nobody got it lol

That'd be pretty cool! They're both the short guys in the group, so it would be fitting for them to have a duel. Say, that gives me an idea! What if we did it as a collab piece? Like, I draw Gavin and you draw Yecow. Or not, I don't know. I'm just saying stuff, ha. Don't mind me and my silly ideas.
I was surprised by how well the markers turned out myself! It translated pretty well from how it looks in real life (well, with the exception of the purples, lol.) I was thinking back on when I was drawing my comics for class and all the black I used when doing it. I love making those THICK lines.

I actually did that comic digitally, so I didn't use any ink at all. If I did that on paper, my makers would all be dead, lol. Wait, if thick lines is 75% of me, then what's the other 25%? Hmm...

Thanks! I'd been having trouble getting a drawing started lately, so I was looking at my older drawings for a bit. I realized that I kinda missed the thick lines I used to do, so I've brought them back. Lineless drawing is cool, but lines are awesome too!

Thanks! Yeah, the purple was a lighter variant so I think that's why the scanner didn't pick it up. But I'm glad that you still like it!

Thanks! I'm really glad you like it. I was looking at my older images and noticed that I wasn't drawing actiony scenes as much as I used to. So I opted to do one this time.
