Description
My old works I made for C64 demoscene in 1993 or 1994 when I started to paint on computers. All of them were pixel by pixel drawn. Beware that only 136 colours and low resolution could be used then (although C64 could use 16 colours, but some smart coders started to use interlace even on this 8bit machineDownload for full view.
Originals like dragon by Luis Royo, Night Winds by Frank Frazetta, skeleton lady by Michael Whelan and are really well known for anybody who's into fantasy illustration and I'm not hiding that.

YEY! yu got my age ...
AND that was ..
Exactly how i started ! To do Graphic stauff in computers ...
Back on 92 ...
I spend near 1 year doing pixel per pixel paint in my lil basic pc programing ...
In the age that pcs worked out in TAPES instead of cds!
lol..
But then things grow reaaly big with the release of bryce in 1994 two years latter ...
I grow up doing things in bryce like i never ever did before ...
So since that date never look back ... to any "programing" pixel per pixel painting TILL TODAY ! lol !
Then the release of 3D Studio MAX 1.0 in 1996 ...
Changed everything in how i sow "computer graphics" .
But yes i never had started in More advanced Computer Graphics if i didnt think that pixel per pixel painting programing "in basic" was so dam hard & LAME! So i had to find alternatives ...
ANd thats how i started in Computer Graphics in 92 ...
--
So i reaaly understand the grade of dificulty to do this things
So let me say .
Yu did a very close job near the pros of tape pc games were doing those days ...
CONGRATUlATIONS for the cool Achievments there ...
Its very cool to meet people that started in Computer Graphics At same age ..

They look kinda stretched length-wise when I download it.
But they are very beautiful. I can see why you chose that dragon as your preview image.

It's because of C64's graphical mode - using more than 2 colors on a pic automaticaly turned mode to 16 colors at 160x200 resolution on 320x200 screen resolution. On the newest picture interlace was used, so it was in full 320x200.

It wasn't for the game. It was in C64 demo by Faith Design.

Thank you very much. I see that there are still people who understand how hard is to make something with all of that hard limitations.
