Personality:

Kalisha was raised by a variety of lions, most notably two who were very much opposites. While she learned to be poised and well-spoken from her father, her mother was quite energetic and bubbly. She is gentle with a wandering spirit, a lioness just looking to find her place in the world. She likes time to herself but prefers being in the company of other lions and works hard to achieve her dreams. Those who knew her mother have told her she shares Maridadi’s kind heart and smiles, but those who knew her father can see a slight selfishness in her, a desire for more.

History:

There was a land long ago which thrived with four prides: The North, South, East, and West. In the Southern Pride there was a lioness, blind in one eye whose tail was bent permanently, who was mated to the king but rarely loyal. While she’d carried a cub for him, she’d had three at the very least who were not his. One came from the land which she was born, the next came from a handsome rogue, the third carried the blood of the southern king, and the last was born of the same rogue from the second. The second cub was kept more secret from the king than was the first, for the first was at least revealed. The second was hidden away in a coalition of females who were tasked with keeping her safe, for what she was never fully sure of. Her interaction with the world was limited in those years, her mother visited but forbid her from coming back with her.

When she was old enough to find her courage, the lioness realized she would not be missed if she left. She took to the valley of Seronera, bright eyed and adventurous, and in the year following she had the best time of her life- a friend was made, unlike any other she’d have from that point on.

As time went on, a pride established in Seronera. Wanting to not be driven from the valley, Maridadi joined the pride and declared her loyalty to a maneless king. The lioness got caught up in power changes, in a test of friendship that left her more broken than she started. In supporting her dethroned king she lost her most valued love and friend and gained a cub.

The lioness with a curly mane tuft dedicated herself to her offspring. In time she took a mate who had been with her when no one else was. With this male she attempted a family, and when the maneless lion found out he decided it was time for him to part ways with her and his daughter. The lioness lives her life with her mate, but also in the past, hoping one day she’d see both the maneless lion and the love of her youth again.

The cub born to the maned lioness and the maneless lion was called Kalisha. She was loved dearly by both her parents, and when her mother found a new mate she loved him like her own father. When old enough, Kalisha left her mother to follow in the steps of her father, hoping to find him once again, and ready for her own adventure.

6 years old- Kalisha births Matias

7 years old- After the challenger Kuwa won the throne of Mwanzo, Kalisha relocated herself and her son to Jioni.
