i stumbled on this old drawing thought some of you may want to see it out there....a few years ago i did some sketch work for an ad agency. this was one of the proposed ads for a double page spread in some magazine for one of the MK games. i don't remember which one....but it was the one where the game environment itself posed a danger and can be used as a weapon against the players.
yeah, i still wince at the quality of the drawing in this one as well.....but again, i think i illustrated the concept a lot better than i drew it. the composition successfully shows that one oppoents got a little too close to the surrounding wall while dodging an attack form his opponent.

thanks . i did this a few years ago.....so while i still like the concept and the composition, the drawing is a little....eeeewwwww.

it's really the goons in the foreground i don't like....facial proportions are a little whack for me.
these sketches have to be done fairly quickly for presentation to clients....so there's no time to dawdle for a pretty illustration......so maybe i'm being a little hard on myself.
i'm a bit of a masochist that way.

Not all of them can be pretty for s sketch sometimes they do and sometimes they don't.

Looks awesome. Easily could be mistaken for a comic book page scene. Lots of things happening in the scene and I like that.

i like composing scenes like that....where after your initial glance, there are still other things that pop up after repeated views.
