This has to be my favorite bird photo, I wasn't able to really catch the brilliant red on his throat, but the detail isn't too bad. It is amazing how delicate these little guys are.Related content

They are a tough bird, I saved this one from exhausting himself and the rest of the summer when I would be in the garden he would fly down and sit on the fence to keep me company. When I stopped working he would fly back to his tree.

So, I had one of those weird 1 time in a life conversations today. It was about this guy wanting to catch a hummingbird because he never heard of anyone actually catching one. He figured it would be Zen like I believe. 3 hours later I come online and this is the first thing I see? Life is strange.

Aww, that's so precious! Hummingbirds are already tough to see because they're so small and so fast and you have the opportunity to actually hold it. Lovely! I love hummingbirds.
