This kitty, General Lee, passed away late last year.

This pic just makes me smile when I look at it. Cats, you just got to love them and its so true what you said about their routines.
This picture also must seem a bit poignant for you now as well, the widow seeming a doorway to some other world of light in the other wise dark house. The cat seeming to be patently waiting for its loved one that will not return.
