heres my new visualstyle for vistaTurquoiseVS
this version isnt rly finished yet
well its all done
but there were some more stuff i should do on it
but everyone has asked for it so much so thought i could release it like this right now
To get the best view of this
go to
right click on desktop choose personalize>window color and appearance>open classic apparance for more colors bla bla
hit the visualstyle and hit advanced then choose menu
and change the menu color to something lighter
like white or whatever u want.. light blue maybe
and hit apply
the go back to window color and apparance (where u choose colors of aero) and hit graphite with like 70-80% intensity
and it will be good ^^
includes a BASIC version aswell
i will probably release an update soon
but yeah.. this is what u get for now

Hey, your last visual styles are really good, but my recommendation is if you can do a version where be a really white backgroound, that is in the bar of favorite links and folders be whitec, the menu bar and window only black,, while as is the vs transblank v1.

Pretty cool. Great job man. More transparency would be better..it doesnt work well with Firefox though. The text in the menus are impossible to read without mouse over it, also on the 'selected' tab. (using default ff3 theme), just like the Column Titles in Explorer. Other than that its a pretty cool dark theme.
How can we get the white 'refresh' and 'search' icons in explorer like in the preview?

yeah i know.. there are some parts u have to change ur self.. cuz i couldnt find out in the hex editing to do that.
same about the colums. even thou i like those as dark cuz i dont want em to stick out cuz i want the theme to be as minimal as possible.. if u could i would remove even more stuff
i dont like it flashy and have lotsa stuff that i dont need.. thats y i do these themes.
and im sorry iv others dont like it. :/
those icons are from the browseui.dll from transblackv2 pack
but if u dont have x86 vista oir sp1 they wont work
and some ppl had problems with em.. even tho its weird cuz it works for me.. and for many others!

Nevermind my comment regarding text in menus...i fixed it from the properties. But the column titles are still hard to read.

This looks fantastic. I like the blue and black style of this theme.
But the bug in the run menu in start is the same like in Transblack V2. And another bug is, that the ObjectDock Style named Transblack.

yeah i know.. couldnt change the color there.. i tried it but the it fucks up the colors on some other parts
and that looks even worse.. i mean u dont use the run dialog that much ? ;I
and yeah haha i saw that. i forgot to change the name in the theme file ;I not a big deal thou.
just open the background.ini file and change the theme name

Vista is being lame and won't let me take ownership of the original browseui.dll, how do I replace it without pissing off vista?

well u have x86 version of vista? and u have sp1?
i take ownership with winbubble.. the app let u add a "take onwership" thingy in the right click menu
then i allways change the files with retorator cuz it do it safe and allways makes proper backups
so it wouldnt fuck anything up
