Description
Billy's backstory was one of my favorites in the Young Avengers "Family Matters" compilation book. But I kept wondering "well gee, at some point between then and the first appearance of the Young Avengers, he had to realize he could fly, right?" I decided I wanted to draw that moment, something I thought would happen a few days after his lightning confrontation with that bully in school.I wanted to put Wiccan's shadow as the sort of frame for the picture, but I dont think it came out as it should have.
It would be nice if I actually got off my butt and made a doujinshi or something involving this moment.
Tools: Comic Art Board, pencil, pen, ink and brush

Hehehe! I might! Tommy rocks~
I've been trying recently to draw some twin pictures with these two. I hope some will turn out!

^.^ I hope too! There's waaaaay to little twinstuff out there
O.O! By the way, establishing powers - is it just wishful thinking, or did the twins get their powers the same moment? (<-- big fan of mystic twin connection)... Both were at school, both blew something up - *squeal*!
I need to do a ff on that!

That'd be awesome! That's a good connection, actually! And maybe the first time Billy flew, Tommy started speeding, or something.
Now I want to draw a picture representing that. XD

Yeha! Please do that!
I'm currently hammering away, half done with the fic - in my version though, I use the time Billy stand up against the bully (what an inane pun, lol) to match Tommy discovering his powers and blowing up the school, having been beaten up by a gang with no teacher helping him, getting revenge.
Funny, the better I like somebody, the more I want to make him suffer? Ö.Ö?

That is SO cool. Very nice with the foreshortening, btw.

Thanks! I was really worried about that... I'm trying to get more comfortable with drawing more dramatic/energetic/interesting poses, but foreshortening is always so daunting!

oh i love it! he looks so cute and surprised! <3
i wish they would go back and do more stories on how they discovered their powers but then again... I wish they would just freakin CONTINUE the damned series already, hehe.

Thanks! I have a whole story behind it... I hope that once I get a handle on my classes again I will make a comic about it myself.
It seems that the Young Avengers title is being picked up again, at least for a mini series involving a team that steals their name. I'm really, super excited!
You'd think that Marvel would realize what potential the YA have character wise. But I also suppose that they're waiting for the creator/writer to free up his time again. I admit, I'd rather wait for him to be working on the title then for someone else to attempt to write it and fail.

Also, you drew this by hand???

Billy! Teddy! I love them both and I love them together~!
It took a few days, honestly. Especially when I inked it. I cant decide if I like inking by hand or on the computer better for the end result.

I don't ink by hand because I am terrified of making a mistake. I do, however, draw by pen often. Weird...
