I confess that I had some mixed feelings about putting this one here in deviantArt, because it's a really old piece - about 3 or 4 years old - and I feel it's really far away from what I'm doing now.But the fact is that most of my friends love this one, and one encouraged me to post it here, so I did.
I think I'm better at anatomy and shading, but I feel that the perspective overall is really good.
Also, I think it's an original theme

Great picture! Love the whole feel of the picture... You almost get a thought of a backstory to it. You captured his expression in the picture, and it works really well without the colours. A definite fav ^^

What a dynamic and interesting piece! I think you have pulled off the perspective brilliantly. Im not sure about the msmoke however, and think that if you were to put in some buildings behind the smoke to make it look more translucent, it would balance the image a little better. Great job.

understandably so! so many artists tend to put perspective last, when really it should be the first consideration. i definitely see the need for improvement on anatomy and overall linework here, but overall the piece holds up.

Exactly! The anatomy was the best I could do back then, but I wouldn't be happy with something like this now. Also, the lineart is really rough, and could use some inking to improve the look of the piece.
