I've always loved "Anne of Green Gables", but what if the story took place in another galaxy, a refugee orphan alien having to be adopted by an alien colony?

That's good that you were allowed to find them on your own. I was so interested in sci-fi and fantasy that my mom was always trying to make me read other stuff, like weird novels based off of Amelia Earheart, or biographies about people like Susan B. Anthony. I can't say I minded when she made me read Nancy Drew though. Β
