And if that doesn't work, you may get patterns from here:

You all can use these patterns and if you're going to make plushie in small size, use very thin fabrics. Ears and nose are sewed by hand.

Do you have any more photos of the finished stoat? I’m planning on making one of these little guys only in it’s winter coat. I don’t want to mess it up and make it look genuinely like a stoat like yours X’D what did you end up filling them up with? From how it’s body moves it made me think of those beads rather than classic stuffing since I don’t want to make the stoat too stiff as a plush cause I want to make it curl up like in the image X’D

Sorry for the long comment!

Unfortunately no, this is so old work. ^^'

I used only normal cotton and little plastic pellet-pouches in some parts if needed. Maybe one pouch in the front of the body and one in the butt.

Just add fillings as you see the best, you can feel if it's floppy enough.

It's ok.

Ah ok then thank you, i finished making the stoat today.
the final result is a bit different since i gave him a large seam allowance but heres the finished stoat:

hopefully that link works ^^

AH, you can always cut the seam allowances thinner after sewing. Makes things a lot easier.

But the link doesn't work, dang it.

ah fair enough I didn’t trim them on this one, but I will do it last time if I decide to make a plushie at some point in future.

i uploaded the photos to my stash so hopefully this link will work better:Β sta.sh/2h5chz09lqn?edit=1

Thanks XD I have never tried sewing a proper face before so that’s why it probably looks a bit weird, it is hard catching a animals likeness. I did stuff him a lot because I wanted to prevent the stuffing separating and leaving gaps in him and so it keeps his shape. X3

Yes, my photobucket wanted to get rid off all third-party pictures. I changed the main file so that patterns are more visible and in english. Would it help?

Thanks very much - I was looking for a pattern to make a Rufus mole rat for my daughter's Kim Possible con costume! Β This is perfect!!

Intrinsicat In reply to IsisMasshiro [2017-08-30 17:46:47 +0000 UTC]

Thanks again, I was too afraid to mess with the head size, since Rufus is more cartoony as a mole rat, it did turn out and is going with my daughter to Dragon Con this weekend as Rufus for her Kim Possible costume! Β Not sure how to add it to this note, so I'll just upload it on my page thanks again!

Your examples there are adorable, I love the natural look of them ^^ Thanks so much for sharing the pattern for this! I'm working on one of these now (my first plush since I was a kid), and I'll definitely have to post it when I finish! The cheek pieces are being difficult haha, but probably because I'm a noob. : D

PASTEYx [2014-01-10 20:50:32 +0000 UTC]

If I wanted to custom this pattern a little bit to mirror a ferret, then the body would be a bit longer and the ears slightly more rounded with the tail being a bit more narrow but long.

Where do you find your fabrics? where I live, it is very hard to find minky/fur fabrics! Do you purchase online? if so, where?!? I've been making plush toys since I was a kid and it's been getting harder and harder to find NICE fur. please help!

Β also, does this pattern include seam allowance?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

IsisMasshiro In reply to dragonflight23 [2013-12-23 17:16:58 +0000 UTC]

From some local fabric stores and from internet. And it's quite hard in here Finland too. Try to find fabric stores near you or try to buy them from the net.
