Last new piece before Anime Boston.
Honestly... not my fav piece, but it's done and a learned a few new techniques to use on other stuff.
and the BG is not a photo. i made it with Manga Studios' awesome perspective rulers and lots of Blur fliters.

Gud job! I love this piece of work. To me it captures the emotion described, not in its mabe not entirely but to a greater degree none the less. May not b ure fav but its one of mine now.

I did a photo of my nephew in the same pose, based off this, and only just refound this deviation to give proper credit

This is just... so powerful. It's a picture that speaks to me of raw emotion, and begs for a story to explain this poor, poor girl's fate.

this is very good. the expression says it all. the proportions are good and the way the detail starts strong and begins to fade really gives you the feeling of depth.

This is an awesome image. Only critique is that you've used a little to much Gaussian blur to the right of the image, but either than that, the colours & perspective bring out the mood of the image nicely. Keep up the good work.

Wow. I'm not even into anime, but, wow. That's just awesome! I love the blurs so that you focus an the face! The purple/blue hair and backround go great with the yellow eyes!

I've got to say that I love this play on perspective. The composition is fine but it does leave a lot to be desired as far as activity or subtlety is concerned. Still, I'll give you props for doing a bang up job of filling the background's white space. The blurred effects on the forward and backgrounds are excellent.
All in all, this is worthy of two thumbs up; but not he full 100% I'm afraid. you could have done a lot more with that background, in terms of actually painting it on there or drawing something there. Filters and tools are fine but they're no replacement for raw skill such as you have.

Having grown up around a lot of chain link fences I can really relate to this piece. They can actually be your best friends when you gotta be hard all the damn time.

that pinky looks a tad un-pinky-like. because of that, i dont think it should have got the dd, sure its a hard angle to conquer, but yeah the pinky is that bad

Wow. This is an amazing piece. I love the dramatic lighting and intense emotion hidden behind the character's saddened expression. The blurring as things recede into the background of the image works really well, too, creating an interesting sense of depth. Great work!
