This is my Secret Santa gift for ~e2s4Didn't know her character's color scheme, apart from eyes and hair, so I hope my choices are okay...
After getting very frustrated when attaching hair while working on the Deamond plushie , I tried a different way this time. Much better than last time, but I'm still not quite satisfied with the result. But I think that's just the lack of practice and material. I'll get better in time, I'm sure.

oh, yeah. before I stumbled upon the tutorial, knotting hair to the head was a royal pain in the ***. I've done one doll that ended up with 17m of yarn on his head, taking me several evenings to finish the hair alone. after that I was determined to find better ways of attaching hair.

Yes, that's the same way as I felt when attaching

depending on what character you're making the hair for, messy can be just whar you need.

aber die puppe steht eh nur wegen dem efeukranz da, und weil die äußere schale sicherstellt, dass die puppe nicht umfällt.

nix fern. die DDR war stolz drauf, sozialistisch-europäische ware zu verticken. gute ware aus dem inland war immer für den export. in alle welt, übrigens. 2.-wahl-ware und importe aus anderen ostblock-staaten war für's gemeine volk. aber über'n ural hat man da eigentlich nie gegriffen... die DDR war da elitär. ahem.
siehste? und vielleicht waren gerade diese schüsseln gute DDR-ware, die der kleine mann auf unserer seite des zauns nie zu gesicht bekommen hat, es sei denn er hatte beziehungen. sei stolz drauf.

war nicht so schwierig wie jedes haar einzeln anzuknüpfen, wie ich das bei meiner letzten puppe gemacht hatte.

und wegen dem stufenschnitt: ich hab erstmal nur ein stück gemacht, weil ich ja nicht wusste, wieviel von der "haargirlande" ich brauche. als ich das dann angenäht habe, habe ich gemerkt, dass die haare eigentlich ein bisschen zu lang sind und hab deshalb den nächten abschnitt kürzer gemacht. hat eh gut gepasst, weil die vorlage ja auch sowas wie einen stufenschnitt hat.
bin noch nicht hundertprozentig zufrieden mit dem ergebnis, aber ich denke, ich werde da relativ schnell übung drin kriegen.

aber ich kann echt noch was verbessern. hab zum beispiel zu dickes garn zum zusammenhäkeln benutzt (weil ich keine kleine häkelnadel zur hand hatte). hat beim annähen ein paar unschöne knubbel gegeben. naja. nächstes mal dann.

The hair looks nice. Hair is a hard on for me to nail. It's so tedious and frustrating. I'm hoping to get better with practice as well.
