Description
In the meantime you know my fascination with long forest lanes. This morning I discovered a new one, only about 10 miles from home.Taken near Soest/The Netherlands.

Looks like some kind of enchanted forest from a dark mystery story...

holy crap those trees are huge. This reminds me of FernGully. Have you seen it? (the kids movie). THe scene near the end where all the trees turn white and open up to let the fairies out. THese look just like those trees. Its really cool looking when they are planted the way there are. in the rows, creating pathways.. it looks soo cool. I think i like this shot the best out of the Beech tree shots you did.

Now this is unusual here... we tend to see them in woods but not to line paths & roads... that'll look good when the sun hit's it

So this is a really nice exemplar of a lane. Beeches are always nice to see due to there smooth bark.

Yes, I am glad they were so fond of beeches here those many years ago when the lanes were planted.

That's wonderful. So long and deep.
I think one day we will have to visit this beautiful countryside that you photograph. It's actually not so far away.

It is the whole "Utrechter HΓΌgelrΓΌcken" which offers these forests and lanes. Formerly people came for a holiday here, but today they go to Thailand or the Maledive Islands or whereever.
