Description He did not look very domesticated, this Normandian bull. I was glad there was a strong fence between him and me!

He seems to be still young - so he's probably in a rebellious mood.
But he has a great hair style!

Yes, not one to come too near to, I would say. As to the hair style, I had him groomed especially for the shot! It the new fashion in Normandy.

What a surprise that he let you do his hair - but the lengths one goes to be trendy...

I know the feeling! Especially with the three galleries! Sometimes I just manage one gallery a day, and that always means that I react messages and deviations that were submitted at the same time, on different days. But there is just too much of it.
The price of appreciation! So easy to avoid it. Just not post so many shots. But I have so many of them! And love sharing them with you all!

What I find hard is not posting heaps in one day....some days I have alot of good shots that I'd love to post all at once, but I know I'd never be able to answer the sudden rise in comments in a reasonable time frame.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jchanders In reply to foolhound [2006-05-27 15:10:45 +0000 UTC]

That is the point. I try to keep myself to a maximum of two shots per gallery per day, and rather less, as indeed the number of comments otherwise very quickly becomes unworkable. And it should remain fun and not become a new sort of slavery.

Hahahahahaha. Looks like he means business. The way you have captured him as he strolls towards you as if to say .... "come any nearer and you are history ..." Fun capture, well done!!

Nice. He looks more curious than threatening to me - like "What are you doing down there?" Then again, I wouldn't want him to step on me!

great composition and angle. I think you may me Normande as the type of cattle. Having worked with cows for a number of years you can never trust a bull, as friendly as it may seem. Often they are more intimidating than the look. Great capture.

I am very glad you like this shot so much. As to bulls, I indeed always try to stay on the safe side of the fence.
I see you have a fascinating gallery. Keep up the good work.

beautiful angle - I'm amazed the DoF is this large at F4.6
I had to cross a field of young bulls last week on my trip to switzerland... like most teenagers they think they are the strongest. I had to hit them on the nose with my dogleash a few times to keep them from pushing me over

I really like the composition of theis picture

I am quite often surprised about the DoF of this camera. Well, not complaints, of course.
Good that you survived those bulls!

The angle makes him look particularly intimidating. It's a great shot, but the lighting could be better. If you do another shot like this, try using the flash.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jchanders In reply to FluffyBlueAlien626 [2006-05-13 18:45:27 +0000 UTC]

Please allow me to disagree in this case. I think the light is part of the somewhat dramatic effect of this shot. It would have been flat otherwise, ie. with the flash.
