Dracula, Rasputin, Francisco Scaramanga, Saruman, Count Dooku, soldier, singer, author... just a few of many roles, real and fictional, he played over a 70 year career. He was also a long time friend of actor Peter Cushing (Grand Moff Tarkin). Rest in Peace Sir Christopher Lee. You will be missed.

he was one of the best and one of the most underrated actors, a shame he only got fringe roles...
His brilliant control over his voice and his fluency (!) in at least 4 languages is very rare.
or sadly I have to correct that: was very rare. He spoke for example german without any accent.
sadly he never got the recognition that he deserved.
He was also a soldier that served in an organization that ultimately became the SAS... so he was a bad-ass even then

To some, Sir Christopher Lee is the face of movies. His voice, his stature and the air he gave off on-screen demanded attention and respect. Few actors can measure up to what this guy did. There couldn't have been a better Saruman. There couldn't be a better Dooku. Wonder what he would have done as Gandalf.
Rest in peace, Sir Christopher Lee. You will never be forgotten.
