When ~VividIllustrator asked if I wanted to do an art trade, I jumped up and down in my seat. She's an incredibly gifted artist and a major inspiration to me!When she gave me her character, my mouth dropped. haha. This is Kitsune! She's a woodland elf of the moon and a very complex character who has a dark and difficult past.
I put everything I have into this one and it's been great fun!

This is one of the most beautiful drawings I have done is the last month... I can see the peace but also the girl has an attentive look on the surrounding, like if you knows something could break that peace... like a warrior, resting, but always aware of the possibly dangers
I love specially the coloring, the green glows... and well, the chick is hot and sexy done ^^

It's really amazing, the coloring totally won me over. But I have to enlight some drawing mistakes. I'm not the best, but I can say that this ones are pretty obvious, specially because I make the same mistakes. First, the shoulders are too big, giving the impression that the head is too small, when is actually not. Because of the shoulders the arms are way to far away of the body, it seems like they're something apart of the body, is like in the left arm (right arm for her) there's no bone connecting it with the shoulder. And the perspective of the legs and arms looks off. Probably because they're to soft and it seems that is not perspective.
I hope that this critique doesn't bother you

I think my mouth literally dropped when I saw this. I can't get over the way you colour - the hair in the water - heck, the water in general. The way in ripples in the places it should, how it's perfectly translucent over the body. The whole peace is somewhat peacful, but dark and mysterious and so interesting all at the same time. Magnificent
There's so much detail I could comment on, but I'm too much in awe I can't think straight xD truly amazing though, every last bit of it!

I wanted to go with a dark theme that would help emphasize the green and red color scheme and let the character stand out without feeling incomplete. I'm so glad that you like!

Oh very nice! The colors remind me of the Jade Sea, so much of that vivid and everlasting color, carefully illuminated here; I like it ^^

I love the Jade Sea, it's by far one of my favorite areas in Cantha, if not all of Guild Wars. I just love the idea of walking across the frozen ocean, and the details that they put in with the frozen waves and foam splashing up on the rocks is pretty fricken gorgeous!

Yeah it is really pretty. Sometimes it can get repetitive I think; but when you haven't been there in a while it's totally breathtaking, indeed. Yes! I do appreciate all those little details in the foam, and when the jade is like turning to sand and it has little fragments of jade broken into the earth, that looks cool too. Ya know there is a certain dye combo for Rits that can almost copy that Jade color?!!

Thank you so much! Yeah water is definitely tricky. I think I maybe should add some water droplets to her skin and distort the portion below the water a bit more to make it more obviously water. >.<
