While I do agree that there is a lot of stupid stuff on the internet it is not making people stupid. It's the under funded and under staffed education system that is making people dumber. See it at work all the time as I'm stuck teaching the new guys fresh out of high school on how count, tell time, read the employee manual and interact with people in an acceptable manor as not to get them fired or the company sued.
