My next WIP. This was suggested to me by a friend, although the initial concept was more romantic than this. However, I instead opted for a scene that in my imagination would be a defining moment for Lancaster. I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing with the background, but I wanted it to seem dire and gloomy.As a side note, I'm surprised that there's quite a bit of hate for this pair...

I think I can speak for many people who dislike Lancaster when we say that we were fans of Arkos. Furthermore, we liked the old Ruby/Jaune relationship. "What if I'm a failure?" "Nope!"

Understandable, and I'm fine with them remaining good friends. I personally just don't see any real reason why it couldn't go in that direction given enough time (to heal from the sunken Arkos) and proper development.

Short answer: No, but I'm open to it.
Long answer: No. For fictional works of art, I like to take things at face value and not bank on theories, especially those that draw from less-than-obvious elements that are considered "potential" evidence. That being said, the story is currently telling me that Pyrrha is dead. I'm also generally not a fan of resurrections, so that makes me want to assume that Pyrrha is dead...for good. However, I am still open to the idea of her returning on two conditions. First, the writers would have to convince me in their writingΒ that her revival is an integral part to the overarching story. Arkos or the fact that her character could have been fleshed out more are not good enough reasons for me. Second, her revival will have to come at great cost. It doesn't have to involve death though. Perhaps something like Jaune losing all his memories of Pyrrha would do.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of how Pyrrha was handled towards the end of vol 3. However, since the writers have already taken that route and made the series darker in tone, I want them to stick to their guns and see it through.
