Update Log: 04/19/08Hi everyone, this is just another quick...errr, semi quick update. I'm still super busy as always, but I found a little time to make a few changes.
Changes:
Reshaped the legs and added fur to them
Removed the rings from the horns
and a few minor flaws fixed
I'm not sure if the shape is right, I think it's something I can work on and play with. If you find that you don't like these new changes, the previous version can be found here: [link]
Update Log: 03/25/08
Hi everyone...I'm sorry that it'ss taking me so long to get back to everyone. I've been SUPER busy! *sigh* Anyways, I made a few 'minor' changes based on the the continued comments that I've been getting. I should have more by this weekend (hopefully).
Changes:
Added a second set of antlers on the otherside of her head
Resized and removed darkness around the eye
Added texture to her muzzle and hands
reshaped the head a little
removed the tattoo
Please keep the comments coming, I think were getting closer to a really great morph! :8)

Update Log: 03/33/08
Ok, I've taken a lot of criticism to heart and I've 'tried' to make the appropriate changes. Keep in mind that this is a quick update, I haven't gotten to everyones request yet.
changes:
Reshaped the changed the color of the Muzzle (nose)
Eyes
Made the head bigger (not sure if it shows)
Added Fur
Reshaped the horns
Reshaped the hands, making them more hoof like
...and changed the animal from a straight deer to a reindeer to avoid horn confusion.
Anyways, keep the comments coming. If you like it, great! If something is off or needs changing, let me know! This is your project as well as mine this time.

Hi everyone,
Well, here I am again with another new morph...but this time, things are going to be a little different. How is that? Well as you look this morph over, what do you notice? *S* Don't see it? Well, to me...it's not quite complete. This is an old project I started some time ago and I thought it might be fun to get some interaction from the fans....still lost? Ok, let me explain:
This is an incomplete project, my goal is to get input and change it as nessary (hopefully this could be fun) I want everyone to tell me...What do you like about it? What don't you like? What needs improvement.
Also, what direction should I take? How about adding hoove? Should they be full or partial? Do I need to add fur? Yes...no? Should the muzzle be smaller? Anything that you fancy. Your opinions will help me shape and complete this morph (which I will be updating periodly)....I look at it as a team effort and a chance for people to have a say in what they want to see! YAH!
If this works out, I might do other projects this way. So, please...don't hold back! I want to hear what you think...really!!!
My currently list of future changes:
-reshape the hands into partial hooves
-add fur to certain locations (such as the arms)
-reshape the legs, making them more animal like
Morph: ReinDeer

Well, I'll work on the horns a bit more...I did add a 2nd set...but, we'll see. ^_^
I do plan on adding more (but not a lot) of fur in various places such as the legs...I'll have to play with darkening her fingers and see how that looks.
Thanks for your comments!

Yes, I think that looks better. It seems to make a lot more sense.
To accompany the more recent comments, I agree that partially morphing the left hand as well would be better; and I have to concur with MadTitan again that the rings on the antlers might be the culprit in making them seem off.

It's hard to believe, but it does look better. I really like what you did with the eyes and muzzle. I wouldn't add any more fur, a little goes a long way. Keep up the great work. If you need any more help, just say the word.

The antlers look a little better, but there is still something about them that don't look realistic to me. I don't know. I guess I'm an antler snob, if there really is such a thing.

I'd still think about reshaping the legs/body area a bit to show it shifting, and darken the fingernails.

i think you should do a slow progress toward a full on anthro, then create a flash animation of the stages

wel all you need to do is save the jpgs of each stage like your doing now then you can just use a free flash program like Swish to so a fade into each frame.

Don't think this is anything that hasn't already been mentioned but here is my take on it:
Hands would look good with partial hoove transformation, tail looks great but the ripped clothing around it is a little off - not sure how to explain but doesn't look right to me. Some fur would be good to match the tail, not all over the body but starting to grow around the clothed areas and then outwards - i.e. stomach, upper legs/arms and neck.
But anyway what you've done so far looks good to me

First off I gotta let you know that your work is 110% awesome! the reason I first bought photoshop actually!
As for my two cents...
Overall it looks great! if i would change anything it would be the following:
Sprouting fur, not quite full fur coverage but enough to tell you... theres gonna be more.
personally as a art appreciator I'm not a fan of muzzles... at most I enjoy seeing the start of a muzzle or still slightly human resembling muzzles... As a fellow starving artist... do what YOU like to see! thats where the fun comes in!
and lastly as you had said.. the reshaping of the legs to resemble a more animal like look, but possibly doing the same to the arms.
Theres my two cents and i just want to let you know personally and on behalf of many deviants were glad to see you back, and back in action!

I know....a lot of people are split on the muzzle thing. I might end up releasing two version, one with and one without. *S* The arms and legs are next on my check list.

If I may, I would concentrate mostly on the face; the most important part of a transformation piece, in my oppinion. I think this has the greatest impact on people's perception of it, since our brains are biased to notice fine details in one's face. So, in that regard, I would enlarge the face somewhat, because it looks a bit small proportionately. Also, I would point the corner of the mouth & the corner of the nostril more parallel to the jaw line (right now, it looks as if she's sneering, or smells something bad. As for the jaw line itself, to look more deer-like, it might look better smoothed out. I think this could be an excellent piece (although all of your peices are excellent, really) Well, that's my oppinion, for what it's worth. Great work!

Well, I worked on the face a bit...is it any better? I'm curious as to what ou think. I tried to take that sneer aware and make her expression more pleasant.

magicstrategist In reply to JPG24 [2008-03-24 04:48:14 +0000 UTC]
I think that's a definite improvment with the expression on her face. She looks more innocent now, for lack of a better word. The nose coloration is also a nice touch. I'm sure if it was there before, but there's a faint line beneath her eye. It makes her look slightly bug-eyed (or sleep-deprived). Other than that, I think it looks great. I'm flattered that you read my suggestion & considered it. I feel kind of bad just dishing out criticism on your work along with everyone else, because it does look very convincing!

It's ok...at the moment I can take harsh criticism. It's how I get better...and usually I don't fall apart from a few negative comments. But, anyways...I've reworked the eyes a bit, let me know if they are better. I also added a little more texturing too....I'm curious to see what you think once I play more with the legs.

I think it looks great now, Jen. Really, I couldn't offer any more criticisms at this point. Do you plan to progress the transformation any further, or leave it at this stage when you feel comfortable with it? Thanks again, I look forward to seeing your work in the future.

I think I'm going to break it up into two morphs...one with the legs changes further (and a little more fur) and one just the way that it is. A lot of people are split on this issue...
Thanks for all the help! *HUGS*

If you do make a more progressed stage in the transformation, may I suggest that it have the face more elongate?
At any rate, I'm very glad to have helped. It looks great & keep up the good work.
Thanks for the hug...

The hands seem too long, and feet would be nice. You could try to two tone her skin to match the deer fur patterns, along with a light dusting of fur on the backs of the arms and legs.

First off, great choice in animal. I don't think I've seen more than one or two other deer morphs. To be brutally honest, there is something about the antlers I don't like. The antler we see looks almost like a root or something, very plant like. I love what you did with her neck and muzzle, understated but a definate change. I also like the cute little tail poking out, nice touch. I would like to see the fingers start to partially fuse together, not full blown hooves though. I think adding fur might make it look too over-done, does that make sense? It's the simplicity of a morph that makes it look awesome and real. Too much stuff takes away from the realism. By the way, did you make her eyes slightly larger? If so, nice touch. Great job as always kiddo. If you ever need any other help, just say the word.

Well, I took your comments to hear, I reshaped the antlers a bit, trying to for for more of that root look you were talking about, let me know if this is what you were talking about.
I also started fusing and changing the fingers into hooves, though I'm not sure if it's too much or not.

her finger into a more hooved like appearance, tail a little bit more fluffy, her legs need to get slimmer, her face more tfed, extra beasts (if possible).
those are some suggestions.
but if you leave it like it is now. its awesome.

then leave the tail like it is. the people has spoken.
the hands, they are coming along great; i just would like a little darkened tip to show her tf more, like a fused, hardened nail that is soon becoming a hoof. and for the legs, just a slimmer look. the extra breasts are just a plus, no harm if they are added. its great.
keep the awesome work coming
