I have been saving this one to look at when I had time, and it is awesome. The way you rendered the hair reminds me of one of my favorite artists, Kinuko Y. Craft. So delicately lined.
It is cool to know that you use watercolor pencil, I used to use them a lot until I switched to full out watercolor. The main reason? I would sit there and use a brush to get the pigment off of the pencil, and paint that way. It was pretty tedious.

you know, Kinuko Craft is one of my favorite too!
she is not only b/c amazig artist,
but also came from japan and established life in US as an artist.
(even it was harder time to come to US than my time)
she is my star.
next time you paint from watercolor from water color pencil,
I recomend to shave the color part and make it into powder.
it's less tedious.

it was my senior thesis and
I thought I failed what I wanted to achieve,
so hearing somebody likes the series is a big relief to me.
yet I'm not satisfied with the entire series
so I keep persisting with making new series for the little mermaid.
