Chapter 10
Jeikudon was in shock. He’d never seen his mother before except in paintings and murals. He spoke “Mom? How are you here? Why are you here?” Marrah responded “It’s a long story. Your father and I loved each other very much, and from that love came you. We were so happy when you were born, and we loved you with all our hearts. Eventually, we had to leave with the threat of Kyomyraxus looming over us. We had to leave you to make sure the kingdom was in good hands. One day, the guilt was too much, and I had to leave your father under the cover of night to come back and watch you in secret.” Jeikudon said “So, where’s my father?” Marrah said “We were constantly moving around, so I don’t know.” Marrah then said “But, I need to teach you how to control your powers.” Jeikudon asked “How?” Marrah then sat in a meditative pose and said “Join me.” Jeikudon then did the same. Marrah then said “Now, start to unleash your Hyper Kaiju mode.” Jeikudon said worriedly “But, I could go rogue!” Marrah said “Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing.” Jeikudon then began to think about the anger, the hate, the savagery, and he began to struggle, trying not to lose himself. Jeikudon exclaimed in pain”I’m about to lose it! Help me!” Marrah then said to him “Focus on the happy memories you have, Focus hard on the ones you have to protect.” Jeikudon began to think about the friends he’s made, and his relationship with Raikura. “You need to protect us all. Henkuiron, Makeela, Supirokodon, Dogorron, Kotora, Wyraxus, and Raikura! And me.” Jeikudon, whose spines were now glowing a bright red, said “I’ve got it. What do I do now?” Marrah said “Protect us… Your Majesty.” A swirling storm of bright-red energy surrounded him, and the energy surged through him, transforming him into his Hyper Royal Kaiju mode. He felt intense power flowing through him, and he said ”Thanks, mom.” Marrah then said “Go save your kingdom, son.” He shot through the air back to the kingdom, where Raikura and the rest were fighting Kyomyraxus. The other citizens were scattered, trying to get away from the fight. Jeikudon landed with a mighty boom, and a cloud of dust surrounded him. Only his spines, now glowing red, were visible, and when the dust cleared, he shot toward Kyomyraxus, who smacked him away with his tail. Kyomyraxus then shot his beams from his tails and mouth, covering Jeikudon in a hill of debris. Raikura yelled “Noo!” As she tries to dig him out. She is unsuccessful and begins to cry, stating “I never even got to tell you I love you.” From inside the debris, a mysterious red glow appeared, and Raikura quickly backed away to steer clear of what was coming. Then, a mighty red explosion shot the debris away from Jeikudon, remarkably not hitting anyone. He opened his now glowing bright-blue eyes, and he got up on all fours and released a mighty roar so loud, that the very ground beneath them all vibrated. Marrah, who was running toward the kingdom, heard the roar and said “I’m proud of you, my son.” Jeikudon then turned to Raikura, who was slightly afraid, and said “It’s ok Raikura. I’m in control.” He snarled and lept up onto a large piece of debris, about half Kyomyraxus’ size, and roared again, challenging him. He roared back, and this was it. The final battle had begun. Jeikudon wasn’t going to hold anything back, same as Kyomyraxus. It was very clear that Jeikudon has had enough. Kyomyraxus lunged at him, his three jaws splayed to capture him in his mouth, but Jeikudon then assaulted him with rapid blasts of his Hyper Royal Shot. These red and black beams were aimed at his face to incapacitate and blind Kyomyraxus. He then extended massive claws of red energy and began to slash at him, moving too quick for Kyomyraxus to catch him. He then got back up to the large debris perch, where he called to the citizens “To me! All of you!” They all saw how he was defending them and rushed to his aid. As Kyomyraxus recovered, he said “What!? They serve beside you!?” As the citizens and Jeikudon’s allies stood together, ready for battle. Jeikudon then exclaimed “I am Jeikudon, the rightful king of Kaijuria, and no one will take my kingdom from me.” Kyomyraxus sat, panting angrily. Jeikudon spoke again “We can end this, right here, right now, uncle.” Kyomyraxus bellowed “Never! I’ll crush you all if I have to!” He roared and began to lunge toward Jeikudon. Jeikudon called out to the citizens “Fire! But wait for my shot.” When Kyomyraxus was close enough, Jeikudon blasted him with the Hyper Royal Shot, right in his face, blasting away where his eye used to be. The citizens of Kaijuria, along with Jeikudon’s allies, began shooting everything they had at him. Beams of fire, energy, electricity, and many other shapes, colors, and sizes shot from the crowd at Kyomyraxus. He tried to block the blasts, but they were too numerous, and hit him all over his body. The blasts fired cut off the tips of two of his tails on each end, they shot off his chest spikes, and severed his right vestigial arm, as well as his right jaw. Jeikudon ordered them to stop, and Kyomyraxus tried to crush Jeikudon again, covered in blood and charred skin. Jeikudon charged one last extra powerful Hyper Royal Shot, and blasted Kyomyraxus far away from the kingdom, his body being caught in flames as he returned to his normal size. Anchoron, Torkorus, and Dreegora picked up his dead body and carried it off. Jeikudon then released one last incredibly loud roar in victory, then changed into his normal form. He lept down, and was greeted warmly with praise from his friends. The crowd looked elsewhere, as they saw Marrah approaching. Random voices whispered “That’s Marrah, his mother!” in utter surprise. She approached Jeikudon, then bowed on one knee, showing respect, and said “Your majesty.” Just then, every other kaiju there bowed, addressing him “Your majesty.” He stood up straight, then roared in victory. The rest did the same afterwards. Jeikudon then said to his friends “All of you, take a knee.” They did as he commanded, and he said “My first act as king is to appoint these individuals part of the king’s council!” They all rejoiced, welcoming the new council. He then turned to Wyraxus and said “Wyraxus, my brother, take a knee.” Wyraxus said “Yes, brother.” Jeikudon then grabbed a long sharp piece of debris, and gently tapped it against each shoulder, then said “I hereby promote you. Rise, General Wyraxus.” He did so and “Thank you, Your Majesty.” Jeikudon then said “Please, just call me Brother.” The two hugged and he saw his mother. Marrah then said “You’ve done your father proud, wherever he may be.” Jeikudon said “Thanks, Mom. Do you think we’ll ever find him?” Marrah then said “I’m sure of it. But for now, we must protect the kingdom.” Raikura then came up to Jeikudon and said “Congratulations, Jeikudon. You’re finally the king you were meant to be.” Jeikudon then said “Thank you Raikura. And, when I was under the debris, I heard you say you loved me, is that true?” Raikura smiled, then kissed him and said “I meant every word.” Jeikudon then said “I love you too.” And the two shared a kiss. Gutritus then came to him and said “Let’s have your coronation, shall we?” They all then went to the tower, where Jeikudon and Raikura stood atop the perch. Jeikudon then saw that he was standing where his father once stood. Gutritus then exclaimed “Witness the new King of Kaijuria, Jeikudon!” Wyraxus called out “Long live King Jeikudon!” Then all of the other kaiju called out to him “Long live King Jeikudon! Long Live King Jeikudon!” As Jeikudon and Raikura looked out at the kingdom, hopeful for the future, Jeikudon wrapped his arm around her shoulder.
