Prologue
Jokoron was worried about his kingdom. His kingdom of Deijuria had been at war with the kingdom of Kairaxxon for years. He sat on his perch, worrying about the future of his kingdom. His wife, Soranna, came in, unusually happy. Jokoron looked at her, slightly confused. He asked “What’s the good news?” She replied playfully with “Well, what’s the reason for the long face?” He then said “I’m just worried about the future of our kingdom, Soranna. Aren’t you?” She said “It’s going to be ok, honey.” She then continued “And there’s something more important about our future you should be worrying about.” Jokoron’s eyes widened. He knew what she was going to say. Soranna then said “I’m pregnant.”
1 year later
Jokoron was in pitched battle with his nemesis, Kairantus. They were in a scorched field, where Kairantus had gained the upper hand, pummeling him until he was pinned to the ground. Jokoron then felt something snap when Kairantus said “I’ll be sure to imprison your wife and child when I rule both kingdoms.” Jokoron then opened his mouth and blasted a golden-yellow blast from his mouth, blasting through Kairantus’ chest killing him instantly. Jokoron saw all around him, all of the soldiers kneeled. Even Kairantus’ soldiers kneeled, mainly due to the fact that even they recognized that their king was a cruel tyrant and despised him. Jokoron and the soldiers then went to the kingdom of Kairaxxon. He announced that the people were free of his tyranny, and they all began to relocate to Deijuria. Jokoron then looked through Kairantus’ tower and found a small crib, as if for a child. He then looked inside it, and saw an infant, similar to Kairantus “He had a child?” Jokoron thought. “But how?” He saw a small painting of Kairantus with a female kaiju, pregnant with the child. “She must’ve died in childbirth. Poor thing. Well, at least her husband is with her now.” He looked into the crib once more, and the child opened its eyes. It didn’t fuss or cry, but was curious of the face peering into its space. It reached its tail-like arms out to touch his face, and felt his snout. It let its arms down and released a small sneeze. Jokoron thought “I can’t raise him. What if he’s like his father?” He grudgingly began to walk away when the child whined and fussed, reaching for him. He then turned around and gently picked up the child, moving blankets covering the child’s name. He held the child in his arms and thought “Maybe I can raise him to be better than his father was.” He saw the child’s name engraved in the crib “Kyomyraxus” it read. He thought to himself as he took the child with him, “So, that’s your name? I’ll be a good father, Kyomyraxus. I promise.” He arrived in the nursery of his palace when Soranna noticed and asked “Why do you have that child?” Jokoron said “He was all alone. I couldn’t leave him there. He’s Kairantus’ son. We can raise him.” Soranna was skeptical, but Jokoron curled up near her, forming a protective circle around the two babies, and Kyomyraxus waddled up to her and nuzzled her, accepting her as his mother. She nuzzled him back, and said “You’ll make a fine son. And a fine brother.” As he curled up next to little Jeykron, who was asleep, and began to drift off to sleep.
