In the late 1990's the interest in ancient kaiju was spurred by a series of events Beginning with the discovery of a fossil skeleton of a strange birdman hybrid, in a hindu monastery. However fossils would not be the only evidence of such a creature, days later sightings of a bird with a 10 meter wingspan would bring about speculations of government genetic testing, alien abduction and numerous audacious ideas concerning the creature but it would soon show itself by perching well in sight of the public and begin a frighting attack against the human populous of thailand, but when military force was brought in it stood no chance and was allegedly killed and fell into the sea. Garuda as it came to be known(after the hindu bird-god) was not slain and would reappear months later and have a change of attitude and stayed well clear of humanity until the Killaak invasion many years later where he would aid the EDF and Godzilla and the other kaiju fight the outworlders and their kaiju pawns, after which the 7 meter tall kaiju was moved to monster island where he would remain the rest of his life.
