This is great artwork. I only have one minor gripe about this. In the 2014 Godzilla film, the "gills" on Godzilla's neck do not glow when he uses his atomic breath.

I might have said Shin Godzilla would win if it wasn't for his 15 days dormancy state, but because of his dormancy state and his lack of close combat and psychical attack,I'm gonna have to give it to Legendary Godzilla.

Keep in mind he could always just evolve past those weaknesses seeing as how rapidly he mutates in response to his environment and attackers.

True, but until he evolves further,he won't be able to win

Shin Gojira was, the way I see it, the best film this year. 9/10 may watch again.

sadly I was disappointed by Shin Gojira, it started out great, but i feel they just messed it up in the middle and had a lazy ending

I can honestly say they did rather well interpreting how a first time encounter with Godzilla in our generation would go. As for the beast himself, well, there were numerous things about him I never saw coming. Also, the use of classical music and sounds really gave it that old Toho Nostalgia feel. It was actually great seeing that Logo on the silver screen for once, especially since I'm a Canadian who was born in 1994. ^^

that maybe true but i feel stopping for almost a month is a fatal weakness, HE IS A LIVING BEING NOT A MECHA HE SHOULD NOT HAVE STOPPED HIS RAMPAGE!!!!! And the look was amazing. But this godzilla was ruined by more WTF moments then the gravity defying drop kick and the atomic breath flight.Β

i agree, but after activating it he just stopped right in the middle of the city....FOR DAYS!!!! HIS TAIL WAS IN THE AIR DEFYING GRAVITY!!!! HE IS NOT A MECHA HE IS A LIVING ORGANISM they dont just stop. then there was the tail Beam...HOW THE HELL DOES THIS WORK!!!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

queenelizathedog In reply to DragonRa890 [2016-10-18 16:57:32 +0000 UTC]

He stopped because he had to cool down. Like and overheated gattling gun, or a computer that crashes. Yes those are electronics and not living creatures. but even creatures like bears need to hibernate. (plus) even though he is still on the outside, he may have certain fluids and bodily motions active on the inside.

Regarding the tail lazer. The last shot reveals lots of little monsters spawning from his tail. I assumed that they were shooting the lasers.

NO I'm Saying that reptiles don't stop like that for that long of time, and even they follow the laws of physics while godzilla's tail did not, I could have let the whole stopping slide if it wasnt for the tail staying in the air and not falling to the ground. seriously japan dropped the ball on that one

DragonRa890 In reply to queenelizathedog [2016-11-14 00:26:37 +0000 UTC]

in this one he's more of a radioactive fish that becomes a radioactive lizard, but in all other carnations he has been about the devastation of nuclear bombs, in no way does a bomb just stop in the middle of its destructionΒ

In no way has an atomic ever woken up a prehistoric dinosaur.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DragonRa890 In reply to queenelizathedog [2016-11-14 12:50:01 +0000 UTC]

that we know of...the whole premise of the 2014 movie is that we had no clue what we woke up, and that is exactly the point, you know we haven't even explored 1/3 of our planet, not even our oceans, we have no clue what is living all the way down in the depths, we had no idea giant squid existed until mankind found carcasses and yet we have legends of the Kracken. And recently scientists were trying to find out what ate a 16 ft Great White shark, which the sensor on the shark telling temperature rules out a mammal because the body heat was too low, but warmer than the surrounding water at that depth, I'm not saying that Godzilla actually exists but I'm saying that we may have woken something up.

Given how scary Shin looks, I'd give the award for most intimidating design to that one. Legendary, well, he does look more animal-like compared to his older counterparts, so there's props for that. In the end, it's all your call.
